All the ships have hair dryers, but I bring my own....their hair dryers suck....they get hot, but don't blow worth a damn...and that's the whole point of "blow drying"...the airflow!!

Someone on my roll call said that they were taken out mid cruise due to a safety concern...ugh!

I highly doubt that is accurate. All RCI ships in our experience have hair dryers in the staterooms - usually in one of the top drawers at the vanity. This was true on our March Indy cruise as well and cannot imagine that all would be removed as you indicate.

I have seen this reported on here, a separate review and the RCI FB page in the last few days. Some people have reported though that it is only the hard wired ones, not all, but this is obviously dependent on the type of cabin.

 

I always take my own anyway but I can imagine it was a huge frustration to those already on the ship.

If accurate, hopefully it will be a short term issue that will be resolved quickly.

At first I wasn't sure either but I have seen it several times now. From what I have read, the hard wired ones were removed due to an issue with the electronics. Obviously, this isn't an issue for portable ones.
