Distance between Dover Castle and Constellation

Distance between the Dover Castle and where the Ship is docked. Can this be walked if can be how long. I read cabs are around the pier area...

It is a long walk from town I would take the taxi...I think there is a town bus but not sure if it goes to the docks.

This map should show you where the cruise terminal is (by the arrow), and should also have the castle's location in the top right hand corner. Remember that the castle is a considerable way up hill.

I assume the ship docks in the western docks....Looks a little far for a walk...Taxi ride it would have to be...

The ship doscks at the Western Docks. After you drop your luggage off and check in, you should have no trouble finding a taxi which should cost less than 10 GBP.

 

There may be a problem on the return. We had some people on our May 21 cruise who could not get a taxi for the return trip and had to walk/run back down and got to the ship 15 minutes before sailing time.

 

It is probably a 30-40 minute walk back. If you look for a cab with an hour to go, you can always walk back.
