How in the heck do you know what your ordering? beef blanket what kind of beef? Are all of these for the whole meal? I would rather chose my own.

Personally to me it doesn't look good.

I just saw some pics of the new menu items on

the Sunshine review on the front page! Looks amazing!

I can't wait to try that wagyu.

Hi TreeLuvr :)

Thanks, I also just took a peek at that review located @:

My wife & I never miss a Chef Table dinner no matter what cruise line

we are sailing. Always a wonderful, mouth watering experience! YUM!

Do you choose from one of each menu item, or is it a sampler of all of them? I have wanted to try chefs table, but have allergies that prevent me from eating a lot of foods that I used to love (seafood, raspberries). Thank you.

You receive everything on menu. If you have allergies or foods you don't eat, make them aware and they will work around it for you. Example, my husband is gluten free and I eat poultry and all fish and seafood but no other meat. We have done chef's table 3 times and they have accommodated our food preferences.

We did it on the Breeze last year, and had an amazing time. One member of our party is profoundly lactose intolerant, one eats no fish/ seafood, and I can't have shellfish. They did an awesome job of changing the dishes for us, and even the printed menus were different! Don't hesitate to enjoy it, even with food issues! We're all dying to book it for our next cruise, and are thrilled that the menu is changing.

Drinks are champagne and wines. I think I had almost a full bottle of wine by myself when we went. And yes, the Chef will come to your MDR table or call your cabin to discuss any food issues you may have before the event so they can tailor the menu for you. So if you don't like a certain item, you can let them know and they will sub in something else. It was an experience you have to do.

Should have added that if you do not drink they are happy to get you something non alcoholic also. Just let them know.

We are signed up for this on the Freedom next month. Was the date/time in your cabin when you boarded or did it show up later in the cruise? I'm just curious how long we will be in suspense, lol.

Thanks!

The menu is BEET blanket, not beef blanket, so it's not meat. I don't think I would like the Waygu bone marrow soufflé, but that's just me. I think really it's just the idea of it.

To me, the best Chef's table menu was the original one. This one doesn't interest me enough to try it.

You can do it before boarding. Go to your booking on Carnival's website and "plan activities", then choose the steakhouse. Then type in Chef's Table AND the number of diners, then use your sailing date as the date. They will let you know the actual night once you are on the ship.

Thanks! I wasn't sure where to type "Chef's Table" so after I entered number of diner's I added it to that. Hopefully I made the reservation in time as I assume it's limited to 12-14 diners. Do they just have one of this per cruise?

If they get enough requests they will have it more than one night. On the 9/28 sailing of the Magic there were two :)
