Non-Alcoholic Drinks for Cheer's Program

I am sure the answer to my question may be buried in one of the detailed threads, but I don't have time to read through hundreds of pages....

 

Will somebody please tell me what non-alcoholic drinks are included with Cheer's program and how it works. Do they count towards 15 limit? Do you have to wait 5 minutes in between? What type of non-alcoholic drinks do they have?

I don't know if there is a 5 minute wait but soda is included as is non-alcoholic fruity drinks such as virgin pina colada. Bottled water is NOT included although you get 25% off.

Yes the five min wait applies to all drinks under cheers whether alcohol or not.

If anyone has the link for the new program, a link is appreciated. Trying to figure out if non-alcoholic beverages (i.e. virgin pina colada) count towards 15 drink max. Thanks.

Program Details

 

 

The "Cheers" Beverage Program (previously named the My Awesome Bar Program!) is flat-rate daily pricing for alcoholic drinks, non-alcoholic frozen drinks, wine by the glass and soda. The non-alcoholic drinks and sodas portion of the program are unlimited and do NOT count towards the program limit of 15 in a "day". Alcoholic drinks covered by the program are limited to 15 in a "day". The program "day" is a 24 hour period starting at 6:00AM and ending at 6:00AM the following day. See Restrictions below.

 

 

he program must be purchased on the embarkation day or the next day and for the remainder of the cruise. Beverages, including beers, cocktails, wines by the glass, and non-alcoholic frozen drinks all must have a $10.00 or lower menu price to qualify for inclusion in the program. For drinks with a menu price over $10.00 a 25% discount is offered, this includes wine and champagne by the bottle. Unlimited sodas are also included in the program. Bottled water is offered at a 25% discount. See complete details below.

Beverages Included In The Program:

 

 

• All spirits (including cocktails), as well as beer and wine by the glass with a $10.00 or lower menu price (excluding gratuity).
  
• Sodas and non-alcoholic frozen cocktails.
  
• 25% discount off the menu price for bottled water
  
• 25% discount off the menu price for spirits or wine above $10.00 per drink.
  
• 25% discount off the menu price wine and champagne by the bottle.
  

 

 

Beverages Excluded From The Program:

 

 

• Non-alcoholic beverages other than soda and non-alcoholic frozen cocktails.
  
• Beverages promoted and sold in souvenir glasses.
  
• Bottles of liquor.
  
• Bottled water (offered at a 25% discount).
  
• Beverages offered at gangway while debarking.
  
• Beverages offered through room service as well as mini bars and/or other in-stateroom beverage programs.
  
• The sharing of cocktails and floaters.
  
• Buckets of beer, pitchers of beer, and beer tubes.
  
• Wine and champagne by the bottle (offered at a 25% discount).
  
• All spirits or wine above $10.00 per drink (offered at a 25% discount).
  
• Beverages offered through enomatic wine machines.
  
• Coffee beverages and food items.
  
• All other beverage-related programs including cookbooks and bar books, beverage seminars and classes, as well as cigars.
  

 

 

Restrictions:

 

 

• Must be 21 or older to purchase and agree not to give to minors.
  
• Each adult (21 and over) assigned to the same stateroom must purchase the program.
  
• Guests must purchase the program for the entire cruise. The Cheers Program is not offered on a per day basis.
  
• Only one drink at a time may be ordered. No sharing is permitted.
  
• Guests may purchase a round of drinks for themselves and friends. One drink will count towards the CHEERS! Program and the remaining drinks will be charged to the guest’s Sail and Sign account.
  
• There is a 5 minute wait time between ordering drinks for yourself.
  
• Program allows for up to 15 alcoholic drinks per 24 hour period (6AM-6AM); once the limit is reached, the guest will not be served any additional alcoholic drinks.
  
• Applicable state and local taxes will be charged to the guest folio when this program is used in US waters.
  
• For ships sailing from Texas, due to state laws, the Cheers Program cannot be purchased on embarkation day but will be available for purchase on the 2nd day of the cruise.
  
• Program allows for unlimited soda and non-alcoholic frozen cocktails.
  
• Carnival reserves the right to refuse service for any reason.
  
• Program is non-refundable.

No Sodas do not count on your drink limit...soda is unlimited...I read the entire policy but am very upset that it went from 37.50 per day to 49.95 per day for 7 day cruises...it was less the longer you cruised. Now flat rate...not sure it's worth it.:mad:

If you have a good bartender they will go ahead and give you an alcoholic drink for you and a soda for your kid while you are sitting at the bar!

I guess it pays off if you drank 5-6 drinks with alcohol and 9-10 NA drinks, but that would be a lot of sugar!

I like the fruit punch without booze, and I see that is not covered, just frozen drinks.
