Citiknits special

Today QVC has a 3 piece set--crop pants, shirt and jacket for their daily special. It came to just under $70 for all 3 pieces including shipping and handling--and you can choose 2 payments.

 

I thought this would be great to wear on the plane. You would arrive without wrinkles--have a jacket for the cool plane and if you are travelling in cooler weather (I know it wouldn't be heavy--but better than nothing) and this would hand wash and dry really easily!

I saw that TSV, but I have never owned Citiknits and I'm not sure how the sizes run. Are they true to size or should I order one size bigger or smaller than usual? Can you give me ordering advice? Also, is the knit material clingy? I don't want material clinging to my bulges.

Hi girls

I am on the fence LOL I have been ordering a bit too much lately but I LOVE CITIKNITS!

 

Cruiselover..they actually run a bit large...but they don't cling! I have 2 citiknits outfits..one is a long skirt and tunic top...the other is a crop pants and button down top. I LOVE THEM

I order a medium and they fit me really nicely!

(I normally wear a 14 petite)..but their 14 is a bit too big...the medium is a 10-12....flows on you...and NO WRINKLES

I have several citiknits pieces. I love the fit and the fact that they still look fresh after a day of siting on the floor, being hugged, bending and stooping, etc. all day (I teach!)

cruiselvr...what size do you normally wear?

 

I have always had very good luck with sizing. I might have sent an item back ocassionally...but not too often.

It depends. Sometimes a L, sometimes M. So I was thinking maybe I should order M in Citiknits. Still thinking about it. Sure could use it on my 3-day coastal cruise next weekend.

Yes we booked a last minute deal on the Dawn Princess - LA/Vancouver. Just found out Friday nite after work, so I'm in a dizzy trying to figure out what to pack. I've never been on such a short cruise, so I'm scared to death I will overpack.

I was on a 3 nighter last summer..went on the Soveriegn of the Seas out of Port Canaveral.

 

I pack light anyway...this was pretty easy for me. One Carry On...and a hanging garment bag.

She is a very casual ship though and in the middle of summer...tons of kids and really casual. I sail solo, so I didn't have to worry about another person either.

Brought a nice pants suit for one dinner, a skirt and pretty top for another night and for the 3rd night...I cannot remember what I wore LOL. (It was almost a year ago).

Don't try and overpack for 3 nights...(in my opinion....its not worth the x-tra clothing).

Thanx for the advice, Lois. I just ordered the citiknits special in blue/black, Size M. Couldn't resist with flex pay. I even paid extra for UPS 2nd day air, to see if I can get it before my weekend cruise. Do you think this is an outfit I could wear in the DR for dinner?

hi I don't know how dressy your ship is...The Dawn..is that part of NCL? I believe any 3 nighter is a more casual setting.

Put a cute pair of sandels on and some nice earrings...I think you will just fine on one of the casual nights

Dawn is a Princess ship. I have some nice black sandals that should go well with this outfit. Hopefully it will fit.

I am going to order the special value color that Lisa was wearing earlier...if I'm waitlisted, that's okay. I find that QVC comes through on their waitlisted items 99% of the time

Thanks for posting the special value, I bought the red/navy. Is the fabric such that you can dress it up or down? My back to back on the AOS is in mid September so my thoughts are wearing it for the flight from New York with a pair of white keds. We are staying two nights prior in San Juan so maybe wash it out and wear without the jacket to board the ship with cute sandals. The pants would be good for an additional casual night with a different top. I couldn't afford not to buy it, right?

The material is great. Yes, you can dress it up or down..depending on your accessories....shoes, jewlerey...etc. I probably should have ordered it but found 2 outfits from Bob Mackie instead .

The $$ only goes so far LOL...I chose a new capri and top outfit and a new dress!

We are going in Sept. Statendam Vancouver inside passage B&B coastal to San Diego. Been to Europe since seen you. Have a great cruise. Got a HAL promo for 99 pp coastal but dates did not fit our schedule.

My citiknits outfit arrived today. I picked the correct size but the armholes in the tank top are too large. Anyone else experience that problem with citiknits. I don't know what to do about it because the capri pants and zippered top fit fine.

Can they be taken up? Not sure but maybe a tailor can help you?

 

Or call Customer Service. I know it was a 3 piece set but maybe they will let you exchange the tank....can't hurt to ask!

I just got mine today, too. The tank is the same way. I just stitched at an angle from the arm to the bottom of the tank. Worked just fine.

 

I had thought that it might be that way because my bust is very small (due to drugs after a lumpectomy) compared with the rest of my body! Glad to know that wasn't the case!

No Piper, it's definitely the design. I haven't decided whether to alter it or send the whole set back. I'm afraid I will ruin the top trying to do my own alterations.
