How to get cash onboard the Constellation?

They may ask you what game you intend to play, and wish you good luck. We never say "oh we have no intention of gambling" we just say "we don't know yet" or "right now were going to dinner but we'll be back later"

Many thanks for your advice.

My husband and I will be sailing on the Celebrity Constellation starting October 25. We will need cash to pay for private tours we have booked. Rather than look for an ATM machine at the ports, we would like to use guest services on board the ship. When I called the concierge desk at Celebrity to ask how much cash we can get on a daily basis from Guest Relations I was told "it varies by ship".

Can anyone give me an idea of how much money we can get on a daily basis from guest services?

Also, will the cash be in US dollars or in the currency of the port?

Many thanks

Rmcruisers-just wanted to tell you we have a very active Roll call for this cruise. There is a meet and greet sail away, and you should register for the Cruise connections Party (see above your initial post for info on how to do this. You can also ask on the roll call if room on tours, money, etc. Some are on the ship now doing B2B.

Just wondering if you can exchange USD into Euros on board in the Caribbean? I've read that in St. Barths you need Euros for taxis and such.

Most countries will take USD but the ships generally have a ATM on board for foreign exchanges or the service desk may be able to help.:D

In the Caribbean, I would doubt if any of the ATM on board would dispense Euros. The best bet would be to discuss with Guest Relations.

But, first, double check your info about the need for Euros in St. Barts. Yes, that is their official currency, but I would consult with people who have been there (try the Caribbean destinations board) to see how readily USD were accepted there.

Yes, everything I have read on the destination boards says that Euro is necessary. It seems unlike other Caribbean Islands. It is also very, very, expensive there, so don't want to be stranded somewhere without enough Euro to get back to the ship!

Just go to the casino teller and say that you want to withdraw $100, $200 whatever, they will tell you about the fee and you sign a receipt for the money which comes off your SeaPass account. They won't do odd amounts, you can't ask for $20.75 or $197.50 or thereabouts

We just receive the email from Celebrity Q and A.

It says you can not use OBC to play in casino.

Thanks

Left hand doesn't know what right hand is doing.

That's simply incorrect, and one of the many things that are inconsistent on Celebrity.

Like, "you can't share wine packages" which you most certainly can.

Like, "there will be three formal nights on cruises of x number of days in length" when sometimes there are only two.

Like, "T shirts cannot be worn into any restaurant" when you absolutely can wear t-shirts in the buffet area.

The list goes on and on.

Trust us, you can take your OBC out as cash from the casino for a 5% fee.
