Evening Coctails for Elite and above??

Can you please tell me about the Coctails for Elite and above (where/when). I am Elite as a reciprocal benefit from RCCL and know nothing about how it works here. BTW it's for the Equinox. TY

It will depend on how many other Elite/Elite+ passengers there are.

 

Cocktail time is 5-7 pm.

 

If there are lots of Elite/ Elite+ they may use vouchers, three per person per night. If not so many there will be a designated cocktail lounge area.

Also there is a limited menu of drinks available. You may not take the drinks out of the Elite Happy Hour space wherever it is. If the number of Elites warrant using vouchers, then you can take them to any bar and also carry your drink around.

You can usually get any cocktail that is under 6.50 but on the menu are:

 

Appletinis

Cosmopolitans

Wine

 

Well, those are the only ones I remember. I think you can also get certain beers but cannot remember for sure.

You can get any simple drinks made with vodka, rum, gin - my husband would get a martini often even though a regular "martini" was not one of the listed drinks. These were at the regular bars (we had vouchers) so most bartenders used common sense. So vodka tonic, gin & tonic, etc. were available.

 

One other "fancy" drink on the list was a sidecar - never had it before, and it was made slightly differently everywhere, but was a very nice orange-flavored drink, would appeal to many non-drinkers.

 

Several types of wine (white zin, cab, sauvignon blanc, chardonnay, maybe a couple more).

 

2-3 beers.

Yes--The elite party doesn't offer any kind of Canadian or blended whiskey--

CC, VO, Crown, 7 etc.

Also, no good beers(even Sam Adams, let alone craft)

But--IF you have the bev package, you can get the better drinks at the Elite party.

The classic beverage package offers many more options than the Elite Cocktail menu, for instance margaritas are not on the Elite menu. If you have the package, you can use it during the Elite Cocktail Hour.

My husband thinks Jim Beam was the only "whiskey" listed (not sure how that fits into the parameters above, we aren't whiskey drinkers).

 

I just remembered you can get sparkling wine and a kir royale, although in very small champagne flutes.

The Elite cocktail hour(s) is not available departure day or on the day of the Senior Officer's party. And the coupons have caught up with that, too (used to get them for day of Senior Officer's party, too).

I have found that if you treat your wait staff and bartenders with discrete appreciation, you can pretty much get what you want within reason.

Thanks for all your replies. The Elite cocktail benefit now will have little value other than meeting others (if without voucher approach) since we will be getting the classic drinks for free with our cruise package options.
