Questions about Cruise Cash

OK, I bought Cruise Cash for myself, but not sure when I receive it or how it works.

Will I have the $ on my sail and sign when I board?

or

Will I get a voucher when I get to my cabin that needs to be presented to add the $ to my card?

or

Will I get a seperate card that I present when I want to purchase something?

Have you purchased this? Was it worth it? Trying to figure out if I should add more or not. Thanks.

I can not answer your questions about cruise cash because I have never bought it. I will not buy something that if I don't use it all I'll lose it. I do buy carnival's Gift cards those if you don't use them all you will get your money back. They also can be used to pay for a cruise and to pay for excursions before the cruise.

It will be on your sail and sign account when you get onboard the easiest thing to do is go to one of the kiosk and check your account balance . Just remember to spend it all or take it out at the casino via a slot machine

You don't really get your money back. You definitely don't lose it. But it stays on your gift card until you use it.

Where as cruise cash can be cashed out in the casino and get it back whenever you need it. Also if you cancel your cruise, Cruise cash stays on your account for a future cruise to be used within 2 years.

How is cruise cash different from onboard credit? Can you use them the Same way? Thanks!

It act's the same way as OBC, You just don't see it on you account until you board.

The balance stays on your account for two years if you cancel? But wont go a balance for your next cruise? Weird. OK, so it's on our card when we board? Good, think I'll just stop off and have a fruity drink, before I worry about putting money down on my card.:D

I bought cruise cash on my Liberty cruise last month. There will be certificates in your cabin when you embark stating that you have cruise cash and the amount (I had purchased it four different times, spread out, when I had some extra $$, so there were four certificates telling me how much I had). The cruise cash is already applied to your S&S card and shows as a credit balance until you start charging things. You can double check to make sure it's credited by using the TV in your room or by checking at the kiosk. Don't worry, it'll be there as soon as you get on the ship.
