Taxis at Port Everglades fl

Does anyone know if there are taxis available at the Port Everglades, FL terminal? Never noticed before but will need transportation to Pompano Beach after cruise. Thanks.

Taxis will be available. How many will depend at least partially on how many ships are in that day. We've had to wait a long, long time, and we've had to wait no more than a minute or two.

How much is the fare from the Port to the Airport?

If you are taking a regular taxi, it should be about $15. If you need a van, usually you negotiate a price. Enjoy!

Tons and tons of them......every Saturday and every Sunday (and

whatever other days cruises sail out of there).....cabs are lined up

waiting for you.

My experience has been the taxi line is long. We waited at least 35 minutes to get one, meanwhile the shared ride vans came and went often.

 

Next time I'll use the shared ride vans instead to get to the airport.

 

Part of the issue is taxis coming in are in the same line as cars coming in to the parking garages, so lots of crass traffic with arrivals and departures.

 

My experience was on Constellation, so perhaps other piers in the port operate differently.

When we walk off early, there's no problem getting a cab. When we leave the ship later, we usually encounter a line of maybe 50 people, mostly couples, and the cops make sure the taxis move efficiently and quickly. So the wait for us, at least, has never exceeded 20 or so minutes

There are many taxis. Wait time varies from now wait to a wait of up to 30 minutes but on average a few minutes.
