jbklyn88 Posted November 1, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 1, 2014 Hey everyone, I hope this doesn't break any rules of the forums by posting this link, but if anyone wants to watch Explorer leave Cape Liberty live for the last time, this webcam usually follows ships until it passes under the Verrazano. http://www.nyharborwebcam.com/ I actually live a block up from the Belt Parkway in Brooklyn and can walk to one of the foot bridges to get by the shore to take some pics and post here, but the weather is terrible in the Tri-State. :(
Silvery Seas Cruiser Posted November 1, 2014 #2 Share Posted November 1, 2014 I enjoy that web cam and the others of the same company as well. I didn't realize that this would be Explorer's final departure from NY. It is always kind of sad to watch a ship sail away for a long time or even longer. Thank you for the heads up. jerseycanadian Posted November 1, 2014 #5 Share Posted November 1, 2014 So long Explorer! Loved having her sail out of Bayonne, so close to home. Many happy memories aboard her.
F27TW Posted November 1, 2014 #6 Share Posted November 1, 2014 Doesn't she sail at 4pm? Looks like she is still in port according to the map on Webcam (tho I can't see her on the cam since it's facing the other way).

psupa Posted November 1, 2014 #14 Share Posted November 1, 2014 We just returned today from the last Bayonne to Bayonne sailing. We will miss the Explorer. I wish they would have given a fact sheet for the Explorer, but there was nothing. The Captain mentioned it a few times that was it.
