Live from Explorer's 14 Night Repositioning S. Caribbean cruise to Port Canaveral

AWFUL and HORRENDOUS are very polite terms to describe how absolutely @#$%$#@ he was! Did he use the casting couch to get a show??!!!;)

I thought the word "ventriloquist" was a euphemism for "awful and horrendous."

Of course, now that I'm being so unkind about the juggling comedian and ventriloquist, they are both bound to turn up on our December cruise ... :(

The quantum for fee items are from speciality fee restaurants. The ones I saw with a fee listed were from Michaels pub which is a fee dining option.

My guess is they can't give free in cabin if charging a fee elsewhere;)

There's a $3.95 charge for eggs any style. Eggs aren't from a specialty restaurant.......LOL Of course, if your ordering from a for fee restaurant, there would be a charge but I don't understand the breakfast charges......LOL

As I said, they aren't letting us outside at all, so I could not go out on Deck 4, but here are a couple of artistic shots through the rain-dotted doors:

And of course, these are on exhibit everywhere:

Be safe my New Friend!! Please keep us up to date. Sending PRAYERS!

Ok, we will start with a "ship condition" update.

(Let's pretend that it is still Monday, and not long after midnight ;) )

I awoke on this, my Pinnacle Day, to a beautiful sunny sky and calm seas.

Not cloudless, but beautiful, particularly after the storm.

11 a.m. was the time for the Crown & Anchor Welcome Back Party.

As previously stated, by myself and others, there is a frighteningly high number of C&A members on board the Explorer for this special 14 night repositioning cruise.

Of 3,031 passengers, 2,485 are C&A members. There are so many, in fact, that they split the Welcome Back Party into two: Today was D, D+ & PC. Tomorrow is Emerald, Platinum and Gold.

Here is another way to think about 2,485. That is more than the passenger capacity of Majesty of the Seas. Of Vision. Of Legend. Of Splendour. Of Grandeur. Of Rhapsody. Of ENCHANTMENT. Of Radiance. Of Brilliance. Of Jewel. Of Serenade.

Holy Moly.

First, we were entertained by two of the singers, Robin & Stanley:

Then François Wache, the Hotel Director (who had sent me a bottle of wine again this cruise:)

introduced the senior staff:

I cannot begin to tell you how extremely sorry I am that I had not taken out my camera until it was too late.................

Captain Rick Sullivan was wheeled in on a giant red divan that is a prop from one of the production shows, lolling about provocatively.

He introduced François who then proceeded to introduce the rest, ending with Wendy, the Loyalty Ambassador and Future Cruise Director.

All FORTY FIVE Pinnacles were asked to trot up on stage, where the ship's photographer attempted to take a picture of all of us. It took a lot of shuffling back and forth, but eventually he got the shot.

Several of my friends took pictures, but I don't have any of them yet in my possession. Stay tuned.

(and yes, 45 is a record number on one cruise)

After the party (and the theater was PACKED), we went to lunch in the MDR. I had a very tasty salad from the Tutti Salad Bar, as usual. (unfortunately, SOME ingredient made me ill. If I had to guess, I would go with the prosciutto, but it's just a guess.)

So I spent the afternoon resting in my cabin, napping and reading my book. I sat out on the balcony for a while.

Since it is a D and not a JS, I have no lounger. This is how I cope:

Chairs face-to-face, one for my butt and one for my legs. Not nearly as comfortable as a lounger.............

On my way to lunch, I took these photographs. These are the doors through which the rogue wave came crashing, smashing the glass and inundating the interior.

By tonight, the fire door was closed again, shutting off this view, and the giant dryers were back on, full speed.

Beautiful end of day sun reflected in the white clouds. CALM waters.

There is a lovely, interesting older couple on board, who are ALWAYS "dressed to the nines". Even in the Windjammer.

You can't see his matching orange shoes.

Like how they used the theater for the C&A event. It's been since the Nordic Empress in 2002 that we've had an event held in there. Seems like a much nicer and easier place to hold the event, even if it's less intimate. Does anyone know if this is normal for the Explorer?

It's normally in Maharaja's lounge, and that is sometimes standing room only.

Quantum's eggs are layed by special chickens than the eggs on the rest of the fleet?

Ocean Boy, I dunno.......LOL Honestly, the charge is written right on the menu. I don't get it.......

Yes, they are dynamic chickens.

Clarea or Bob, yeah, they must be! LOL
