BND Posted November 22, 2014 #151 Share Posted November 22, 2014 Radio, where is the hairdryer kept? We're booked in a balcony cabin on Anthem in 2016 and I've found a couple of videos on youtube with cabin tours but the desk area has no drawers so I know it's not there. Thanks! Ocean Boy Posted November 22, 2014 #152 Share Posted November 22, 2014 Radio, You could have saved some money by not actually getting a cabin. We need for you to stay up and keep taking pictures!:p
DonnaK Posted November 22, 2014 #153 Share Posted November 22, 2014 (edited) Radio, where is the hairdryer kept? We're booked in a balcony cabin on Anthem in 2016 and I've found a couple of videos on youtube with cabin tours but the desk area has no drawers so I know it's not there. Thanks! The desk area in our D8 on Quantum had a lot of drawer space, and the hairdryer was in the top drawer. Edited November 22, 2014 by DonnaK

MADflyer Posted November 22, 2014 #155 Share Posted November 22, 2014 Radio, your pictures are fantastic. Just wondering if they allow 2 people in a studio cabin, since it seems to have the bigger bed? I wonder how they would price a cabin like that. The balcony looked great. These SB cabins have been reclassified as SD cabins from the 25th of June, 2015 onwards. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2130296 If you find a cruise where an SB/SD is available, I would think you would need to book it as a solo to get the inventory to come up and then call them for the adjusted pricing for 2. They currently only come up on inventory when 1 guest is entered in the search but the description does state that 2 guests are allowed.

Georgeny Posted November 22, 2014 #158 Share Posted November 22, 2014 Radio, let us know about arrival at the new cruise terminal. I'm curious how much smoother/quicker arrival and departures will be. We're all so used to the backup at Cape Liberty that anything would be an improvement. ME TOO ME TOO !!!!! Sailing Dec 20 for 7 night Xmas cruise. Was just out of Bayonne last month on Explorer saw new terminal was set to open and would really like detail on driving, dropping and parking with new system. Sorry to see that Linda and I are just missing being onboard with Radio doing December instead of January. Not looking forward to new Dynamic Dining and find myself getting annoyed about all the reports like added price items on room service, many other areas once complimentary items becoming charged aka-carte stuff. But trying to maintain open mind despite so many bad comments found on the internet. Have a great short sail Radio. Always can rely on your perceptions. Rare Radio Posted November 22, 2014 Author #159 Share Posted November 22, 2014 (edited) Hello everyone. . . Welcome to Day 2 of “LIVE” from Quantum of the Seas. Good morning all. We are travelling south off the coast of the Delmarva Peninsula (Eastern Shore of the Maryland/Virginia state line.) at about 9 kts. I am sure we will be turning soon and heading north back to Cape Liberty. The weather outside is still cold, but we have bright sun and low winds. The seas have been very calm and I am unable to feel any rocking, pitch or sway. I think that today I would like to do the following: 1.Northstar 2 SeaPlex Bumper Cars 3. RipCord by iFly 4. FlowRider 5. SeaPlex Flying Trapeeze Circus School 6. Secrets to a Flatter stomach class. 7. SeaPlex Roller Skating 8. Starwater 9. Mama Mia 10. Casino Royale Slots Tournament Well, it’s obvious that I will not have time to make all of these activities and shows. With a 2 night cruise it would be virtually impossible to see everything, and that is the same for Dynamic Dining. A 2 night Cruise would not be the way to judge the activity flow, Dynamic Dining, or even entertainment values. I really just have to pick a few things and go with it. If I can’t get in, then no worries. . . If I can’t get reservations, then I will just go somewhere else. I can assure you that no passenger will ever leave the ship hungry, thirsty, or without trying several things. That’s really the nature of cruising. Royal Caribbean has presented me with so many options. . .they don’t know what I like to do or what I like to eat, so they try to offer a large variety. I really feel that a 7 night or longer cruise may give passengers a better list of options on how to spend their holiday on a cruise. I think the entertainment reservation system has proven itself on the Oasis Class ships, and I feel that Dynamic Dining will work out in favor of all passengers. It may take a little time though. . . Let me find out when that “Secrets to a Flatter Stomach” class is taking place. . . Here are a few pics from this morning from Quantum of the Seas. . . Radio The pool deck very early this morning. Deck 14 is very empty just before breakfast. The sun is coming up very strong today on Deck 15 SeaPlex is set up for basketball this morning. I love these skateboard seats I love Johnny Rockets and I want to go there today. . Edited November 22, 2014 by Radio
critterchick Posted November 22, 2014 #160 Share Posted November 22, 2014 I read that to keep your lights on in the cabin you need to put your room key in a slot in your cabin. Maybe with so many people out and about the room lights aren't left on. It doesn't have to be your Seapass, just any piece of plastic (I've been told that a business card will also work). That way you won't walk out of your cabin without it (if you're not a Wow band fan, that's important).:)

Georgeny Posted November 22, 2014 #166 Share Posted November 22, 2014 Yes I do realize that, been on CC for years. Just wanted Radio to know I appreciated those particular photos. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app It also makes it much slower for the people at sea having to re-download posts AND pictures again and again so please refrain. Politely :) George in NY

Georgeny Posted November 22, 2014 #168 Share Posted November 22, 2014 " I love Johnny Rockets and I want to go there today." This is one of the previously complimentary ( except for drinks and cover ) areas that is now ala-carte pricing I saw. $2.50 burger, 1.50 fries etc. I saw the priced menu but am assuming that the cover no longer exists off-setting it some anyway?
