lbfluffy Posted November 23, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 23, 2014 I noticed on the Star there are two main dining rooms, the Aqua and the Versailles. Which one do I choose? What is the difference? Thanks.
rvsullivan Posted November 23, 2014 #2 Share Posted November 23, 2014 You can pick either one. Aqua is the smaller and less formal one. In Versailles you cannot wear shorts for dinner and it is allowed in Aqua. The menu's are almost the same for dinner.
punkincc Posted November 23, 2014 #3 Share Posted November 23, 2014 Versailles is the aft MDR and has the more formal dress code for dinner, no shorts, flip flops, open toed shoes, caps, tank tops for men. You can wear any sort of long pant including jeans, collared shirt. Women can wear dresses, capris, any type of top, toes are allowed to be seen, as are legs;). Aqua is midship, still very nice, but is more casual. You can wear shorts there. The menus may be very similar with minor differences. Check them out and choose whichever looks best on any given night.
Demonyte Posted November 23, 2014 #4 Share Posted November 23, 2014 You choose the one you like better. Aft MDR on all NCL ships is a bit more formal, the one(s) midship less formal. Menus are basically the same, with very minor differences like different beef cuts, etc. Originally we aways opted for the less formal midship MDR but nowadays we usually just go to one that has less queue to it. Sauer-kraut Posted November 23, 2014 #5 Share Posted November 23, 2014 OP On Norwegian you decide when and where you'd like to eat at ANY TIME -- you are not locked in to any place. ;D Just explore and keep exploring and you will probably find some great plces to eat. hpecorari Posted November 23, 2014 #8 Share Posted November 23, 2014 In addition to what others have said the times are a little different between the two. One opens up a half hour before the other. I think one closes a little earlier than the other. Harriet
