Margaritavillager Posted November 30, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 30, 2014 What is your favorite thing about RP? We are four adults with a private beach cabana booked. We understand its not AI, but like the idea of our own spot reserved. I'm so excited and would like to hear about everyone's experiences there. Thank you. caribsun Posted December 3, 2014 #2 Share Posted December 3, 2014 (edited) We like to sit poolside near the backside of the beach bar. Edited December 3, 2014 by caribsun
mrsfuzzmo Posted December 4, 2014 #3 Share Posted December 4, 2014 Mmmm, nothing. Not my favorite place to go in GC.
bookbabe Posted December 4, 2014 #4 Share Posted December 4, 2014 Mudslides. Pizzas. Shady tables while hubby swims. Cleanest bathrooms on 7MB, at least on non-cruise ship days. No kids in pool. :D Large, easy to access parking lot (we drive there) Our favorite place to go on Seven Mile Beach.
runner15km Posted December 4, 2014 #5 Share Posted December 4, 2014 We also like the vibe around the pool, nice and quite. :) We do take a couple of swims in the sea and then back to the showers and poolside.
Trev An Posted December 29, 2014 #6 Share Posted December 29, 2014 I also love the pool area. Got some be wings while we were there and then we went on the beach to watch the sunset. Wonderful time there. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
disfan123 Posted December 30, 2014 #7 Share Posted December 30, 2014 We have booked the cabana before, and will be doing it next month again. It's wonderful, second only to Nachi Cocum in our experiences.
mconthehighseas Posted December 30, 2014 #8 Share Posted December 30, 2014 Would this be a good place to take a toddler? I like the idea of a private cabana, but don't want to go to a place where people go to get away from kids.
Snow cat Posted December 30, 2014 #9 Share Posted December 30, 2014 Would this be a good place to take a toddler? I like the idea of a private cabana, but don't want to go to a place where people go to get away from kids. I can't answer if its a good place for a toddler, but I can tell you that they offer an adult-only pool.
cruisinlawn Posted January 2, 2015 #10 Share Posted January 2, 2015 I've read chair rental is $8 per. Are there umbrellas available as well and if so how much? TIA:)

mrsfuzzmo Posted January 7, 2015 #12 Share Posted January 7, 2015 (edited) MrsFuzzMo: What would be your recommendation for a beach day / pool / umbrella / bar place to crash for the day? For that type of day we go to MyBar at Sunset House, but the beach isn't important to us, snorkeling is. That's our favorite place to hang out for the day. AWESOME food, at really great prices, cold beer, friendly staff, plenty of space and gorgeous views. There is no beach though. While it's right at the water, it's iron shore, so no sand. They have a "natural pool" as well as a regular pool (not huge, but nice to use to cool off and float around). Our two favorite things to do in GC are snorkel and hang out at an awesome beach (type) bar. This place fits the bill perfectly. (And you can walk from the tender piers). Best part is, very few cruisers, so you are out of the crowds! Edited January 7, 2015 by mrsfuzzmo
cheeseburger.in.paradise Posted January 16, 2015 #13 Share Posted January 16, 2015 Do they offer a package that would include drinks? We are looking for a Beach day where we could just sit around and drink. We were planning on going to Mr. Sanchos in Coz to do this, but it seems like a lot of people are saying Grand Cayman is better for a beach day and we will find better things to do in Cozumel.
