We will arrive early a.m. in Ft Lauderdale and are staying at the Hyatt Place hotel. We would like to go to Las Olas. How far is that from where we are staying? Is it within walking distance or do you suggest we take a taxi?

The Suntrolley that runs on 17th St. does not go to Las Olas Blvd downtown. It passes the beach end of Las Olas Blvd. You can get off there and wait for (and pay for) another Suntrolley to go up Las Olas Blvd. It would be so much easier to just take a taxi for about $10 each way...tell them to go via US1 and drop you off at Cheesecake Factory for the lowest fare.

Thank you so much! I looked at the Sun Trolley route map and noticed that the Beach Link did not go to Las Olas Blvd. We can take a taxi from the Hyatt Place 17th Street to Las Olas for about $10 each way? Sorry for so many questions!

A cab is $10 and Uber is $6.

You can walk it if you are in decent shape. The tunnel is kind of scary (good scary not bad, dangerous scary) but it is a couple of miles.
