Rare Pennstatedj Posted December 23, 2014 #2 Share Posted December 23, 2014 yes they should be on tv and in Casino. Super Bowl is usually in Sky Lounge and a big party.

coldcanadians Posted December 31, 2014 #4 Share Posted December 31, 2014 Last year on summit Superbowl was in main theater. Was a big party with lots of food. That night there was no show in theater except Superbowl.
jszpira Posted December 31, 2014 #5 Share Posted December 31, 2014 Got the Broncos/Chargers game 12/14 in the stateroom on Reflection. Pleasant surprise! I think you can expect to see playoff games broadcast on the ship :)
Rare Lois R Posted December 31, 2014 #6 Share Posted December 31, 2014 (edited) Yes, they show the Playoffs and The Superbowl. How the set up/what they set up/ will probably vary, ship to ship. I have sailed in Jan--Feb several times over the years on different ships and have always been able to see those games:) Hope you have a great cruise:) Edited December 31, 2014 by Lois R
themutis Posted December 31, 2014 #7 Share Posted December 31, 2014 For the Super Bowl last year on the Reflection, the game was shown in Michaels Club, the Casino, and the Main Theatre. The Theatre was decorated and there was food served. Celebrity even sprung for the commercials last year. The year before on the Reflection during playoffs, the game was shown in Michaels (could have been on in the room too, but we were not there). I wonder with Michaels now being reserved for Suite guests if they will have another spot to show the games.
cynbar Posted December 31, 2014 #8 Share Posted December 31, 2014 We have sailed a couple of times during the NFL playoffs, and will again this January. Celebrity has always made a big deal out of this. On the S class ships, it is shown in Celebrity Central with appropriate "game day" snacks (hot dogs, wings, popcorn, chips and salsa) and is a really festive atmosphere. You can also see it in the casino and your cabin TV. I have not sailed Summit at this time of year but imagine they do something similar.

Summit will probably do the same thing, we did Bermuda out of Bayonne two years ago and during the week they had Giants/Cowboys as opening night of the NFL. They had a buffet in the theater and a bar. If there is a way for them to make money they will do it and I'm sure the games will be on.
chrismakris Posted December 31, 2014 #10 Share Posted December 31, 2014 Glad to hear. We will boarding the Summit during the Divisional round games and was wondering if my Seahawks were going to be shown. Go Hawks!!!!!!
Maligator Posted December 31, 2014 #11 Share Posted December 31, 2014 Multiple college and pro games were shown on the in-room TV system in October on Summit. So I imagine that trend would continue. There was a thread a while back about Celebrity having more American football games available.
cynbar Posted December 31, 2014 #12 Share Posted December 31, 2014 I should add that a lot of fans of the teams in the playoffs will be wearing their "game day" apparel, so bring some if your team will be playing. It was a lot of fun, with some friendly needling and cheering going on. We're hoping to see our Patriots in the AFC championship -- it will be formal night on our cruise, wonder how our team jerseys will go over??
