It was fun once, kind of campy, over the top. Don't need to do it again.

My kids and I enjoyed it on Explorer. Go in expecting some silly fun, laughs, and audience participation, along with a nice meal, not a production show - think school play!

I enjoyed it on the explorer. the food and service was great. the entertainment hokey but funny. my only complaint it was a long evening.

It is usually held on ships that have either Portofino or Giovanni's Table.

Well worth it, my wife and I have attend two of them and we will attend them when ever offered. Unlimited wine and excellent food and the murder mystery is very funny. Go for it you will not regret it.

Cost is around $55 per person.

If it's available on your sailing, it will be listed in your pre-cruise planner.

The menu is limited, see post #11 for the menu.

It's a fun experience, but not quite the same as a romantic dinner at Giovanni's. So you might consider keeping both, or doing the mystery dinner theater with the whole family, with date night to follow for the two of you.

Our kids are young. I doubt dinner theater would work for them.

I agree. Once was fun. Limited preselected menus. Wine flowed freely. We were seated banquet style at one of 3 long tables and competed as a table to guess the villan.
