tangogulf Posted December 29, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 29, 2014 Question re Chef's Table on Royal Caribbean - on longer cruises (e.g. > 7 Days) does anyone know if the Chef's Table menu changes during the cruise? We are on a 16 night cruise soon and if we do enjoy Chef's table and decide to go a second time during the cruise would we end up with the same food? Looked through the RCI boards but couldn't find any information related to this kind of question.
tangogulf Posted March 17, 2015 Author #2 Share Posted March 17, 2015 Well looks like RCI are having trouble getting punters to cough up $$ for Chefs Table.. Just off Radiance and we had to reschedule twice due to lack of numbers. Others we talked to had to do the same. Pricing came down from $90 to $70 and then $50 .. Was a good meal once we were able to partake but quality o f wines was not what we have experienced previously one of which was offered at a discount in the MDR the previous evening. Also no souvenir menu or cookbook or apron. Just the place cards, Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Rare MMDown Under Posted March 17, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 17, 2015 $90 to $70 to $50 says it all. Those prices are far too expensive, when meals have already been paid for, as part of the cruise fare.
Kiwi Kruzer Posted March 17, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 17, 2015 How much do Princess charge for their Chefs Table ?
kaseyoz Posted March 17, 2015 #5 Share Posted March 17, 2015 We did the chefs table last september/october as part of an 18 day cruise. I cannot recall what price we paid but did get signed book, menu etc. I also do not recall any specials except the package deals for multiple restaurants. sexylegend8 Posted March 17, 2015 #6 Share Posted March 17, 2015 I had a chat to the MOTH regarding the Chefs table and while its something I would do, hes just not that interested. So we wont be doing it this cruise, maybe another cruise :D
GUT2407 Posted March 18, 2015 #7 Share Posted March 18, 2015 We only do Chefs Table on special occasions, eg DD with us, the price is n my opinion just crazy when you factor in that you have already paid for your meal anyway. And as a non-drinker the discount for non-wine is way to low. Most people seem to get through $50-60 [ship prices] of wine.
