Nassau cruise in December

Whatever weather Florida has....it's about the same. Nassau is NOT in the Caribbean. It's Atlantic weather...cooler than the Caribbean.

We were there on a cruise the first week in January, and it was cold and windy.

 

It was actually warmer home on Long Island that day than it was in the Bahamas!

 

We had to miss the private island because the ship couldn't tender, and did an overnight in Nassau.

In early jan the water was about 75....cool for snorkeling but we are from maine so it seemed warm to us.......check the 10 day forecast....and showers are generally short and not everywhere...

Nassau's weather is the same as Miami's. We have been there in January & early February when its been chilly, had long pants on. But we have been there when the weather was beautiful but waters are chilly. On Long Island where I spent my summers if the water temp got to 70 it was considered almost hot! So it depends on what temp you want the water to be.

We were there last week and it was 80 and sunny. The water was beautiful and only a little cooler than the Caribbean ports we visited.
