LuvWilliam Posted January 1, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 1, 2015 With the sale that's going on right now, can I use my Emerald balcony discount AND still get the onboard credit? TIA!! Sent from my iPhone using Forums

racerxspeedy Posted January 1, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 1, 2015 I logged in and checked all of my bookings again today. The C&A balcony discount does NOT appear to be combined with OBC. It remains cheaper to book cruises as a first timer in many cases. That's what I did for Nov Brilliance. Oh the games they play.
molly361 Posted January 1, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 1, 2015 It is just like the one that has been going on forever, either balcony discount OR the OBC not both.

It remains cheaper to book cruises as a first timer in many cases. That's what I did for Nov Brilliance. Oh the games they play. I had my in-laws book to come with us on our 2016 cruise yesterday. They found it was $60 more to book as a new passenger than as a Crown and Anchor member, BUT they also got a $200 OBC. I think the two offers should be able to used in combination as loyalty to past customers over new guests, but I guess RCCL does not concur. KKMurphy2 Posted January 1, 2015 #7 Share Posted January 1, 2015 They are definitely not combinable. I have 3 cruises booked right now and had to choose between OBC and balcony discount. This makes my loyalty essentially worthless. I emailed RCCL with my concerns, and they have not replied after 2 weeks. I would like to see the masses of loyalty members email customer service to inform RCCL of our discontent with the current pricing strategies. Count me in - I just received a response from C&A regarding a previous misleading offer. Perfect time to clarify to C&A this latest "sale" provides less benefit at Diamond level than at first time cruiser status.
dorisis Posted January 2, 2015 #9 Share Posted January 2, 2015 Non combinable benefits is typical of RC. TA obcs are usually valid but most others are not.
