Sailing weather in May

Hi all! I went on my first cruise in late Sept/early Oct 2013 from Miami to Cozumel, Belize, Roatan, etc. I found that it was so hot and humid that even when sailing I was uncomfortable on deck. I am booking my next cruise in May from Galveston to Cozumel. Can anyone tell me if I should expect the same conditions while sailing or is it too unpredictable? Thanks a bunch!

It's HOT in the Caribbean year round...May is Hot...June, July and August, and September are hotter!
