Tivoli

Depends what you like. It is more "amusement park" than "gardens". We found it a bit tacky and not really to our taste or interest. Quite pretty lit up in the evening, though. Happy to have "been there, done that", but definitely would not return. Some people do rave about it, of course!

I was not overly impressed with Tivoli when we visited Copenhagen during the summer, it is really an amusement park, even the lights were not impressive because it didn't seem to get truly dark so they didn't show up too well. When we went in December I was more impressed because the lights were much prettier in the dark evening and there was a Christmas Market that was worth having a look around.

If you have never visited before and you like amusement parks it is probably worth a visit especially as you have already seen the city.

There is (was in 2008) a little bar at the lake which brews its own beer which is well worth a visit. The rest was fairly unmemorable.

Alternatively on the same street as Tivoli there is another bar which brews its own beer.

Just Look for the Carlsberg signs!!
