CasinoQueen Posted January 16, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 16, 2015 (edited) Hello Everyone, I wanted to post a review of Premier Cruise Parking. Not to be confused with the rip of joint Premier Ventures. Premier Cruise Parking is located at 1415 NE 2nd Ave. Miami, FL 33135. I made my reservation by phone by calling Chris at 1800 435-3195. The Parking Garage was easy to find. We were instructed to drive up to the top floor. By the time we got out of our car and got our suitcases out- the shuttle to the port was there. The shuttle is not glamorous but functional. I made sure to sit in the front seat so I could enjoy some breeze from the window. As air conditioning is useless with the doors opening every 5 minutes. The shuttle driver took us to the port. Pick up from the port took about 1 hr. Pricing was $9 a day because of "peak travel" including a shuttle to and from the port for 4 people. ready2cruzagain Posted May 11, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 11, 2015 Thank you for this information. We used Premiere Cruise Ventures 2 years ago and what a nightmare. I thought I was booking with this company...did not know there were 2 with the almost same names. Will look into this one.
eandj Posted May 11, 2015 #3 Share Posted May 11, 2015 Hello Everyone, Pick up from the port took about 1 hr. Pricing was $9 a day because of "peak travel" including a shuttle to and from the port for 4 people. So you waited an hour for the shuttle back to your car? :( Did you need to call them? Wouldn't it have been easier to just cab to the parking structure and save the delay? When you booked was the rate $9, or did it change to higher the day you returned due to the "peak travel'? Did they keep your keys?

Did they keep your keys? From what I have read, and read a lot...I would take a cab back personally, only $10 for 2. You pay online in advance so rate does not change when you pick up your car. No they do not keep your keys.
Bernie by the sea Posted May 12, 2015 #5 Share Posted May 12, 2015 If you have a handicap placard, parking in MIAMI at the port is FREE. Ft Lauderdale is a $15/day charge.
capriccio Posted May 12, 2015 #6 Share Posted May 12, 2015 (edited) If you have a handicap placard, parking in MIAMI at the port is FREE. Free parking has required more than just possessing a handicap placard for the past year and a half. I highlighted in red below from the Port of Miami website: For Disabled Persons Notice to Disabled Parking Patrons (Effective November 16, 2013 at 12:01 a.m.) Based on Ordinance 13-104 That Amends Section 30-338.2 of the Miami–Dade County Code; Public parking charges will apply to vehicles parking at PortMiami’s public parking facilities that display a disabled parking permit or license tag, except as provided by Florida state law*. However, a vehicle displaying a disabled parking permit or license tag will be allowed up to two (2) hours of free parking. Any vehicle exceeding the two-hour free parking period will be charged for the entire time the vehicle uses the facility. *In accordance with Florida state law, no parking charges will be imposed on any vehicle with specialized equipment, such as ramps, lifts, foot or hand controls, for use by a person with a disability, or any vehicle displaying the Florida Toll Exemption permit. How to request complimentary disabled parking at PortMiami: At the exit, advise the parking attendant that you would like a disability waiver of parking. The parking attendant will examine your vehicle to determine if the driver/vehicle meets the criteria for a parking waiver. The parking attendant will inspect the vehicle to determine if a Florida Turnpike Toll Exemption sticker is affixed to it and/or if the vehicle has specialized equipment and a hanging tag from the Division of Motor Vehicles verifying the equipment. Once the parking attendant has verified that a disability waiver of parking is allowable, the driver's name, address and the registration number on the sticker or hanging tag will be recorded on a form by the parking attendant. ready2cruzagain Posted May 14, 2015 #8 Share Posted May 14, 2015 Parking offsite in Miami is a horrible idea. I have parked at several places in Miami offsite and no problems except for the shuttle. Is there a reason you keep saying this? A past experience???

A past experience??? Blue Herons is a local and I'm sure she has up to date information on crime, vandalism, joy rides, etc. - all of which have been reported at various off-port parking facilities on this board. Parking at POM is expensive, but it is also convenient (no waiting an hour+ for a shuttle ), covered and secure. It is your car - do you feel lucky?
luvflorida Posted May 16, 2015 #10 Share Posted May 16, 2015 We have used this company before and plan to use them again for our cruise in 2 weeks. Never had any problem and never had to wait very long at all for the shuttle back to the parking garage.

I love Miami but it is one shady place.
