Dawn garden villas booked June-August 2015?

I have had no luck on NCLs website with booking a garden villa on the dawn for summer 2015. I realize that there are only two, but can they possibly be booked every sailing for three months? Could be a website glitch, but thought I'd ask here to see if anyone had any insight. Do you think they are really sold out, or is something else going on?

It could be - "BUT" have you called NCL or your TA for a look into the computer

reservations. Any help being put on a waiting standby list and as a last resort

a possibility of booking a two bedroom suite with adjacent stateroom ?

Unlike the NCL SUN both the DAWN and the STAR have a great deal more

combinations to work with.

Sure they can, it's prime summer season and as you said, there are only two available on each cruise. When we had the opportunity to book one with two other couples, we booked it over a year in advance.

Watching the availability over the last year or so, they do look to be mostly booked up. Last time I looked a couple days ago there was one open in early July and one or two other dates but maybe they got booked since then.

On our Dawn cruise that is still two years away all GV's, OS and DOS are sold out. There aren't many and they can go fast with these current promotions. Sometimes if there is only one left, or there is a courtesy hold on one, a TA or PCC can find it for you.

I recently experienced this for a booking. No rooms showed in a category I was looking at for days using the webpage. Called and a PCC found something that I could not see. NCL has great people working the phones.

I used to use my assigned PCC but that person no longer works at NCL. I was assigned another PCC but now I just use whoever answers the 1-800 line at NCL. Never found a second PCC that was as good as my first one.

The first time I tried to book a DOS I had the same problem. I think even when someone is just viewing it; it will put the cabin on hold for that period of time. So I called a TA & they worked with NCL for over an hour on the phone and managed to snag one for me.

So it was a no brainer for me. When I wanted a DOS on the Dawn to Bermuda I called that same TA & she booked it. She even managed to cancel & rebook a couple of months later so that we could take advantage of the current promo (we were still within the no penalty phase).

There's also the possibility that because these cabins are in short supply, that people book them in advance without any firm travel plans since they can be cancelled with no penalty if you are within NCL's time frame for doing so.

So maybe being on a cancellation list is an option?

I hope you are successful!

Cheers....Sandra

You should call NCL. When we stayed in the Garden Villa it showed booked on the website but was actually available. We had a 2 bedroom suite and a regular suite and got a call to upsell to it. All along it looked booked on the website.......It is amazing, while I am not a fan of the Dawn, staying in the GV made my vacation and was a once in a lifetime vacation with our whole family.

  • 2 weeks later...

I booked a Garden Villa on the Dawn for July 24th, 2015 back in October of last year. At that time this was the only date where one was available. I assumed it was a website issue. When I called Casino of the Seas I asked if there was an issue with the website. They explained that those rooms go quickly on the Dawn. Who knew??
