Mumsysailor Posted January 24, 2015 #80 Share Posted January 24, 2015 They generally set it like that when they don't know who's out first with the last minute delays, don't they? But what a great shot on the PE webcam.
lka1012 Posted January 24, 2015 #81 Share Posted January 24, 2015 How do you lose a bus? And if the bus took the passengers to the wrong port, if they are HAL Air, who is responsible for getting them on the ship
Rare Scrapnana Posted January 24, 2015 #82 Share Posted January 24, 2015 3:39 from FLL should have arrived 3:50 latest. I agree with the lady - the driver must have gone to the wrong place or had a break down. Someone should have a cell phone on the bus and let somebody know. dfish Posted January 24, 2015 #83 Share Posted January 24, 2015 I'd hate to be the driver on that bus with all those anxious passengers. Deb
Mumsysailor Posted January 24, 2015 #84 Share Posted January 24, 2015 (edited) Why, oh why, do people fly in the day of the cruise.:confused: Even when it's only 2 hours by train from Southampton we travel to the port the day before. We certainly wouldn't risk flying on the day.  Edited January 24, 2015 by Mumsysailor

Rare Vict0riann Posted January 24, 2015 #88 Share Posted January 24, 2015 Ann... I used to do that as well but my editing setup is a 27" iMac with two more 27" monitors. That key sequence takes a screenshot for each monitor. I took 10 shots and have 30 pictures. Have reverted to Shift-Command-4. Quicktime only captures the center screen... What a mess... Haha! I don't speak computerese! Three monitors, wow! You are a serious addict (sailaway, that is) :)

Rare kazu Posted January 24, 2015 #90 Share Posted January 24, 2015 I never get flying in the day of. It's too risky here with our puddle hoppers and connections. So much nicer to come in the day before or two, relax and know you are going (and soak up some sun or at least some warmer weather).

ger_77 Posted January 24, 2015 #96 Share Posted January 24, 2015 Since it is a HAL (apparently) transfer, who is responsible for getting the passengers to the ship? I would think HAL is . . . if it is their transfer. Smooth Sailing! :) :) :)
Rare erewhon Posted January 24, 2015 #97 Share Posted January 24, 2015 Since it is a HAL (apparently) transfer, who is responsible for getting the passengers to the ship? It would be unusual for HAL to cut it so fine.

Rare Scrapnana Posted January 24, 2015 #100 Share Posted January 24, 2015 Copper, I always read that some kind of a document listing passengers must be sent in 60 minutes before sailing. So how can they let people on at the last minute?
