Orlando/Nassau Best Excursions

Hey everyone,

 

What are the best excursions for Orlando and Nassau?

 

I'm tempted to stay on the ship in Orlando for the nice weather and i know everyone will be racing to get off and go Universal and etc.

In Nassau we were thinking the Aqua adventure at the Atlantis or maybe wondering on our own. Is it safe to wonder?

Orlando is a landlocked city in the middle of Florida. No cruise ships docking there.

Since Orlando is 50 miles from the port, you will have limited time at Universal or any other Orlando attractions. A trip to Cape Canaveral would be good. It's a short distance from the port.

At PC, we bus over to Cocoa Beach, had a fantastic lunch at Sandbar, bought some tourist stuff at Ron Jons, and then headed back to ship to watch the parade of ships leaving port that day.

Nothing in Orlando is cost effective if you're porting in Pt. Canaveral...it's too far, and for Disney or Universal, you need DAYS...not hours!

In Nassau- we get away from the pier and do an excursion. Have done many.

 

Blue Lagoon Island is a fun place, as is the Melia on Cable Beach.

 

For non- beach excursions there is Ardastra Gardens and Zoo, the Pirate's Museum, or a walking tour of Nassau (see online map.)
