vulcan1971 Posted February 17, 2015 #26 Share Posted February 17, 2015 Wonder what happened to the bottle we left behind?? Poured for the Captain's toast?
woody14h Posted February 17, 2015 #27 Share Posted February 17, 2015 On several occasions we have found OBCs and/or champagne in room. Never any notation who from except a note was compliments of Celebrity. But we found out it was from our son on one occasion and from a TA on 2 others. Don't know why X can't be specific. Sounds like they are taking credit where credit isn't due.
fleckle Posted February 18, 2015 #28 Share Posted February 18, 2015 If I were a cabin steward and found an unopened bottle of champagne or wine that a passenger had left behind, it seems it would be easiest and most sensible to leave it for the next passengers and get brownie points for being so considerate, instead of needing to go cart it off somewhere else. That is, as long as doing so would not be a violation of ship policy.
DZalumni Posted February 18, 2015 #29 Share Posted February 18, 2015 I always arrange a special surprise for the others traveling with us. I don't worry about the bubbly as it always included in concierge & up and we always book concierge at a minimum.
Rare villauk Posted February 18, 2015 #30 Share Posted February 18, 2015 Last year, on Infinity, we had a bottle from the cabin steward, together with numerous other items :). It may have been returned from the suite cabins, however we thought it was a very kind gesture. He even asked which evening I would like it left on ice :). Rare uktog Posted February 18, 2015 #31 Share Posted February 18, 2015 Kind gesture - you can always take it to dinner to offer to share with others at your table or near you Often had that gesture - and as others say the rose is from Captains Club - usually is delivered first formal night
