Uber in Fort Lauderdale

Anyone have any updates about using Uber in Fort Lauderdale? We were planning on using them from FLL to the Embassy Suites and then from the Embassy Suites to Port Everglades. I've read on other threads that people haven't had much luck with this. Has it changed or is it still frowned upon? Thanks.

I know how to use the search function and I checked those. I was wondering if anyone had any more up-to-date info. I e-mailed Uber last night and they said they were approved at FLL. I was wondering about personal experiences.

I use them but have not tried to get into Port Everglades.

We were thinking of Uber from FL to Naples as opposed to a one day car rental. Anyone used Uber for a longish trip like this?

Will they do that? The return trip the driver would not get a fare.

When I emailed them they said as long as the journey was between 2 points covered by Uber. That's why I'm asking if anyone else has done this.
