RCI Platinum on First Celebrity Cruise

DH and I took advantage of the 123GO and booked a Concierge Class balcony, getting all three in the bargain. In booking with an online agency, our platinum status on RCI never came up.

Is this something we should mention to the agency or should we contact Celebrity directly? And do we rate any additional perks over and above the 123GO by giving that information?

You have to go to Celebrity and create a sign in for their site. You can use the same username and password as RCI if you like. Enroll in Captains Club at Select Level. You get the perks of Select. You may also call Captains Club at 800-760-0654 and they will assist you. Give them your RCI C&A number and they will be happy to assist with your sign up on Celebrity CC.

The Select perks are worth signing up for of course.

The only thing that you probably will not see - without looking - is the points are not transferable between RCI and the X.

We hope you enjoy Celebrity. We cruised RCI in November as Diamonds and frankly couldn't wait to book another Celebrity cruise. The subtle differences of the past are not so subtle anymore.

Yes, contact Celebrity to enroll in their loyalty program and provide your C&A numbers.

Then have your new Captain Club numbers added to your reservation.

Now you'll get the appropriate level of "coupon booklet" you are used to through Royal. For X, it is one sheet with tear-off coupons. Free scoop of gelato, casino match-play, discount on internet, photos etc.

Worth it in my opinion.

I did go on the Celebrity website and enrolled DH and me. Celebrity automatically assigned us the Elite status so I'm guessing the X and RCI database systems are connected.

Thanks to all for the advice!

Are you certain that you are Plainum and not Diamond? Platinum equates to the Select Level on Celebrity. Diamond equates to Elite on Celebrity. If you we correct about your RCL level you'd be Select not Diamond. Of course Celebrity may have made a mistake and it wouldn't be the first time.

And unlike so many other errors we have to deal with on their website this would be one I wouldn't rush to have resolved [emoji38][emoji57]

Now it is time to contact your TA and have them put your CC number on the reservation. You may be able to upgrade (move) up one step in cabin selection. I.e., if you are in a C3 you can move to a C2 with your CC level.

If this is the case, make sure to check out the schematics to possibly snag one of the C2 cabins that have a larger balcony, usually located on the slant off of the hump. There are threads that will give you specific cabin numbers depending on the ship you're sailing on. Good luck.
