If your dining room assignments are done on a rotational basis, what happens if there is a particular dining room that you don't want to eat in?

Should I also assume that you ought to inform your fellow diners and your wait staff that you won't be joining them that evening or those evenings? Think I'd prefer to stay with regular DD so that we can eat where and when we want every evening and arrange to have our friends join us. Our experiences with DD on Quantum in February were generally very good and we had great servers in each of the venues.

I only really started the post to let those who want to select the new option that it was now available.

 

Personally, I appreciate the same table mates on a daily basis. I cannot say I dislike DD as I have not yet experienced it. The classic option just seems to suit me better. I don't dislike that Royal is trying new stuff, rather I think it is great. Not everything will be a success but if they don't try to evolve I'm afraid they will stagnate.

 

As for what the crew say, I have been on enough cruises to know that I can find crew that do and don't like everything.
