SAS lounge at Kastrup questions

Recommended Posts

Is the SAS lounge at Kastrup before or after passport control and the security checkpoint?

The website says there is a "buffet". Could one make a lunch from the buffet or is it more just snacks like chips?

The website says there is a dedicated children's area? Is that within the regular lounge or is it totally separate? What is it like -- just a separate area or are there things for children to do?

We will be traveling through Kastrup with four young children and wondering if purchasing entrance to the lounge would help us pass the time with them. We have never flown through Kastrup before so don't know anything about the layout, etc.

Any information anyone can give would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I don't have any personal experience but according to : http://www.businessclass.co.uk/lounges/sas-lounge-kopenhamn-kastrup-cph/

You can expect:

The self-service buffet varies depending on the time of day. Usually there are cold cuts, bread, vegetables, fruit and pastries available.

Beverage offerings include beer and wine on tap, various alcoholic beverages, tea, and coffee.

Regarding the kids lounge my interpretations of the text is that it is a separate lounge.

We used this lounge about 5 years ago, so hopefully things have not changed much. The lounge did not offer a hot food meal, but instead offered the typical Scandinavian cheeses, meats, breads and sides. Quality was good and options were many. I do not recall a separate children's lounge, but we were a party of 4 adults.

You might try a phone call to SAS customer service to ask your question re the children's lounge area. We have found that SAS has a superior level of service.

It's located after security - next to finger C

It's a buffet - The food is more than a snack, but at the same time smaller than a meal. Consists of different kinds of bread, fresh fruit and sweets as well as cold drinks, tea, coffee, espresso, wine and beer.
