chrysalis Posted March 13, 2015 #26 Share Posted March 13, 2015 If they tell you (and in Alaska it is a warning, not a request) not to do it then don't - it shouldn't matter whether there are inspectors or not. Unfortunately, some people just seem compelled to try to get away with anything and everything. I have seen them checking for food in the terminal mall in Barbados. More than once, too. Steviewonder1 Posted March 13, 2015 #27 Share Posted March 13, 2015 To find about Private tours go to your Cruise Critic Roll Calls. Select Princess then the ship you are on then find the Roll Call for the ship and date. Read thru it to see if anyone is setting up Private Tours. Join your roll call as other valuable info is there such as When is the Meet and Greet?

My brother was stopped by Princess security in Alaska blatantly carrying a piece of fruit off the ship - he wasn't trying to hide it. Somehow he had 'missed' the notice in the Patter and on the PA system. They told to throw it out or eat it before leaving the area (they watched him eat it). That's was his mistake- had he put it in his bag there wouldn't have been any questions.

No his mistake was doing something that was prohibited. To his credit he didn't decide to 'hide' fruit at the other stops once he became aware of the restriction (he may have been clueless at first but he was brought up right :D). caribill Posted March 14, 2015 #32 Share Posted March 14, 2015 Mexico has AG Dogs. You don't want the cute Golden to sit next to you. As shown below
Lovetocruiseprincess Posted March 14, 2015 #33 Share Posted March 14, 2015 As shown below They also did visual inspections in Cabo....sort of. They gave anyone with bags a cursory check. After all who would they be able to sell the people food if everyone brought their own off the ship. ;)
