Blue Mountains base for a few days

Recommended Posts

I'd stay in Leura, a very pretty town. Easy 10 min drive "up" to Katoomba & three sisters, Echo Point, Scenic World. Venture a bit further "up" for Blackheath & Govetts Leap. 5 min drive "down" to Wentworth Falls. I lived in the Blue Mountains (Blackheath) for 7 years before I moved to Melbourne - it's a very pretty place!

Thanks, I don't suppose you could recommmend any motels/short stay apartments in the area could you?:D

I'd stay at either Fairmont Resort or Leisure Inn Spires. If you want something a bit quirky check out the Old Leura Dairy. Enjoy your stay in the mountains, take a jumper it is a bit cooler than Sydney (normally by about 10-15 degrees Celsius)

I highly recommend Lurline House (B&B) in Katoomba.

Lurline House, a Non smoking property, is ideal for couples, small groups and family gatherings. Perfect for your Blue Mountains experience.

  • Walking distance to Echo Point and Town Centre
  • Close to bush walks and panoramic views
  • Courtesy pick-up and drop off for train travellers
  • Local tour bus pick up point
