Which side of ship for Western Carribean?

It doesn't make any difference. The sun rises on one side and sets on the other, and it will be reversed on the way back. You are not insight of land until you arrive at port. You can't predict which side the ship will dock on, as it varies. EM

On our last cruise we were on the starboard side and on 2 of the 3 stops we were on the side facing the port. So port side is really just a reference to keep direction on the ship and not really to let you know whether you will be facing land or water once docked.
