YankeePenny Posted April 19, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 19, 2015 please beg pardon with my nuisance questions. I searched, and found a thread from 2007. Is there self laundry on Pride of America? If not, are there self serve reasonably close in the ports? any- if any of you could stand it, could I PM some other questions? I am stressed about this adventure. thanks in advance. :)
spookwife Posted April 19, 2015 #2 Share Posted April 19, 2015 you need to ask this on the NCL boards. the PM feature is disabled.
Cruisin' Chick Posted April 19, 2015 #3 Share Posted April 19, 2015 And you can go on the NCL website. There should be a frequency asked questions section that may help answer many of your questions as well as a deck plan for your ship which will tell you which features are on it. taglovestocruise Posted April 19, 2015 #4 Share Posted April 19, 2015 From NCL There are no self service laundry facilities on any NCL ship but they do offer a laundry service for a fee. Use the laundry and dry cleaning service offered by the ship.. no need to schlep your dirty clothes from ship to shore and back to save a few bucks.. happy cruising
SuiteTraveler Posted April 19, 2015 #5 Share Posted April 19, 2015 No, no self-laundry on NCL cruises.
YankeePenny Posted April 20, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted April 20, 2015 thank you everyone. I may just late afternoon go and do some- I rarely use the dryer but for the basics and don't want clothing wrecked. I went to the site and found other info as well. Thank you again. Cruisin' Chick Posted April 21, 2015 #7 Share Posted April 21, 2015 thank you everyone. I may just late afternoon go and do some- I rarely use the dryer but for the basics and don't want clothing wrecked. I went to the site and found other info as well. Thank you again. My hubby and I decided some years ago that with our wish to go on longer (for us, two week cruises) cruises, the self-service laundry is a must. One member of our family is allergic to regular laundry detergent and I usually use cold water to wash our clothes to reduce shrinkage. And I do air dry many of my clothes for the same reason. So we're keeping our fingers cross that Princess keeps their laundry rooms for many years to come.
griffy116 Posted April 21, 2015 #8 Share Posted April 21, 2015 Why not just wash a few things out in the sink and hang them on the line in the shower or the chair on the balcony? We then send our undies and a few other pieces to the laundry. They have a special about mid-week on some of the ships that don't have self-service laundry. BEST thing ever. We budget for this on every cruise. No laundry for a week is a luxury for us.
