Where to stay before heading out on cruise

We stayed the B2 across from the Market place. Great location. great service,

Fun restaurant. Small rooms but modern. Some spectacular views.

I'd stay again. It's now the YVE. Same place though.

Thank you all for your help it looks like there are quite a few nice places to stay - flights are cheaper to fly into Miami then Fort Luaderdale though but a good idea none the less!!

JW Marriott Marquis. Beautiful hotel and a short ride to the port.

We're trying the courtyard by Marriott this time, only because everyone else was booked within a decent price range

We stayed there in December 2012, and I would never stay there again. Not sure what is allowed here, but I did do a review on tripadvisor, which I can repeat here or provide a link, if anyone is interested. The only good thing that I can say about the hotel is that it is well located

Your review of over two years ago was based on a personal unhappy experience with things not being a normal occurance. One can always have a bad experience, but that doesn't help a cruise critic reader to know the hotel itself. Especially when coming here for ideas for current upcoming stays.

 

I guess I wouldn't shoot down a whole hotel and try to steer people around a VERY popular hotel for cruisers here on these boards.

It would help if you had a budget to steer us in the appropriate recommendations. Prices run the gamut and some hotels are on the discount sites in November for great prices.
