I Wish Princess Would

I wish princess would give more details about where ships will dock i.e addresses or exact positions on a map. I like being informed and enjoy playing around with street google before I go to places. I dislike all the guessing as to how far places I want to visit will be to walk to or visit by taxi. Sometimes I think Princess is intentionally vague in order to sell their ships excursions.

I wish Princess had cabins like Solstice class ships in the Celebrity fleet.

Better room service menu I think breakfast is subpar now can't even get eggs on toast but you can get something resembling a McMuffin. yuk.

I wish Princess would do anytime dining on the Sea, Dawn and Sun Princess.

I wish Princess would stop scheduling trivia, port lectures, movies and other activities to finish after the kids club closes for dinner or lunch breaks so we don't have to keep missing the end of these activities.

I wish the Princess spa's had cheaper massages the prices are getting so expensive and the last massage I had was really disappointing.

I wish princess would read this post and make these changes. :p

Yes, cabins like the Solstice Class ships:

1. I wish Princess would stop "nickeling and diming" passengers to death.

2. Stop trying to sell passengers everything under the sun.

3. When a passenger reports mold/mildew in their cabin promptly clean it.

4. Be sure the pedicure tubs are properly cleaned. Toenail fungus is nasty.

5. Stop trying to "cheapen" the experience. Increase prices.

6. When a passenger slips on water in the buffet clean it up.

I wish that Princess would ... sail out of Michigan! ;) We have the Great Lakes, so can't you get to Alaska from one of them, lol!? :D

We do, however, have "Great Lakes Cruising" with much smaller ships with much larger price tags, but we haven't tried them yet.

I wish Princess would have a round trip cruise from San Francisco visiting Seattle , Oregon, and Victoria,B.C or Vancouver and back. I've never been to Seattle or Oregon and haven't been to Vancouver I'm sure others would love to do this route.

I'll second that!! Oops just seen the next post!

They do get in the way but I like the lights. Wouldn't want to see them taken out of the cabins completely.

Put electric plugs closer to the beds for a clock or plug in kindle to say e battery

Copyofth_Carnival-VIFP-Platinum_zps41db4d4e1_zps02e438c7.jpgI still cruise for Warm Chocolate Melting Cake (with 2 sugar-free vanilla ice-creams)

Lots of great ideas and suggestions, and yes - Princess does read these.

I would like to see voyages out of Port Canaveral so we could see itineraries like PR, BWVI, Bahamas, and the New England coast during the summer months.

After 7 cruises on Princess I recently took a cruise on another cruise and it had two features that I really loved.

1) The promenade deck was much wider than on Princess and all on ONE deck

2) They had a beautiful lounge at the FRONT of the ship where you could sit down and look out.

Was that on a recently built ship or an old one.

New builds on multiple cruise lines seem to have de-emphasized the outside promenade deck.

I was curious also, thinking perhaps he had been on one of HAL's older ships. I checked past posts, and it appears he was recently on the NCL Spirit, launched in 1998 for Star Cruises as the SuperStar Leo.

Sad to see the true prom decks disappearing from the newbuilds :(.

We have been elite cruisers for many years and cruise about twice a year on 14 day cruises in Princess mini suits. My elderly husband is not able to take these trips anymore due to his ailing health so now I have to cruise without him.

I would like to stay with Princess and wondering why they don't offer cabins for solo cruisers. On our longer cruises we see and meet a lot of senior ladies, all having to pay double and most needing to book inside cabins while spending twice as much. Would it really break the financial bottom line to offer some cabins for solo cruisers ??? Not all of us like to share or have friends who are cruise lovers.Norwegian is building 80 solo cabins on their newest ships, but none leaves from the west coast.Just because we are solo seniors doesn't mean we are not spending a lot of money on the ship, check out the bars and the casino.I feel a lot of money could be made by Princess catering to us, just give us some "solo" cabins and loose the upcharge.

Definitely one of the more beneficial improvements on this thread. Thank you for mentioning it.

Keep in mind that the NCL single cabins are insides and smaller than a normal inside. Sonce your foment stated that some had to sail in insides to save money, the NCL solo cabins are not that much of an improvement. The only benefit would be an additional savings compared to a normal inside.

Isn't that the point?

Like all of you I agree with some and some I really don't care about. I like the product Princess offers and hope for many more cruises to come.

That said my pet peeve is not allowing minors to have the same color card as their level of cruising. I've paid full fare for my kids, they had to pay tips, have spent money, we paid for tours and yet they can't get a simple color on their card to show that they are Elite or Platinum. I realize that they wouldn't get all the same benefits as adults but in today's world it is but a computer stroke away to not allow them alcohol or wine tasting.

They should, however, get the same internet minutes that an adult gets and they should get the same discount in the gift shop. When a crew member sees their card when they are buying their drink they should get the same "welcome back" that adults get. They should be allowed to stand in the Elite line at the Pursers Desk too without getting the stink eye from other cruisers who will later complain about the badly raised children who don't know their place.

I, too, would like to see more west coast itineraries. Hawaii during the summer would be fabulous. Stopping at ports like Portland would be fun as well. A two week from LA to Alaska and back would be magnificent. I agree with the one poster about Hawaii. We went all that way, how come we can't over night in each port before we come home. It has been established that California is the 7th or 8th largest economy in the world so there must be tons of money here to buy cruises.

swm5495678 - are sure you have even sailed on a Princess ship?

I always eat TD so can't comment on the ATD. I don't mind the photos because some of them have turned out to be my best memories of my kids and siblings growing up/older.

I like the decor and the ambiance. I wish there were the steel bands by the pool. I don't swim but this has reminded me to bring the kid's wet suits for the pool.

For those wondering, yes, Princess does read these boards. There was a poster a few years ago that made a comment using only their CC name with the future cruise listed. They were contacted directly by Princess who figured out the screen name with the real person. Don't think they read it. Can you smuggle alcohol in mouth wash or water bottles now. Nope.

Agree they should give the address

But then they'd be Celebrity

No one would use MDR anymire:cool:

I'm not sure where they'd fit it.

And others would complain about nothing being on then.

I wish that Princess would make their formal night "suggestions" into "requirements".

Careful what you ask for. Do you want Princess to also make its boarding time "suggestions" into "requirements"?

P.S. When you first saw this thread title, didn't you just know it would go on forever? And probably should?

More choices for summer. Some people can only sail in summer and don't want to go to Alaska or overseas.

Photo packages that real people can afford on all ships. Not just one trial ship.

Southern Caribbean itineraries.

Reciprocal cruising on any CCL line and still get credit.

Listen to the good things your sister companies are coming up with, eg Photo package (Carnival), Social Media Plan $5/day (Carnival).

The other CCL's could also take not of the above. Princess does many great things for cruising, that's why I keep coming back!

That's my .02 cents!

But they want the various lines under the umbrella to be different. Or why not just call them all Carnival.

  • 5 weeks later...

I would love to have a bike to use/rent while in port! It would be great if they had a few available you would reserve at the excursion desk and pick up as you get off the ship in port.

I also agree with the previous post that credit for cruises should be across all CCL lines. I understand keeping the distinction between the lines, but hotel chains such as Marriott have figured out a way across their various price points.
