Disembarkation at Piraeus - Cabs

Disembarking from the Cunard Queen Elizabeth at Piraeus on June 20th. Not sure what terminal we will be disembarking from, but it could be Cruise Terminal A or the new Cruise Terminal B.

 

Does anyone know if we need to prebook a cab transfer to downtown Athens or will there be cabs waiting to be hailed ship side?

 

It's always a challenge estimating a pick up time unless you walk off the ship early which we don't want to do (we're checking into a hotel in Athens and it's not a long cab ride from the port).

 

Any advice much appreciated on cabs at Piraeus Cruise Terminals.

There was a line of cabs waiting last June, we caught one. Plan to do the same in 2 weeks. The driver pushed for a tour but we declined and they took us straight to the Acropolis well before buses arrived. Hope this helps!

It is your choice. You can prebook or use one of the many cabs that are in the cab line. Disembarked in Athens twice and plenty of cabs were available both times.

Does anyone know what the typical cab fare from the airport to the cruise docks would be? I'm debating about paying for the Princess transfers but know they generally charge twice what you would normally pay. Thanks for any guidance.

There were sooo many waiting on the line we didn't have a problem finding one.But if you want to be sure book one!

Taxi from the airport to Piraeus is appx 47 Euro
