Do you think a flight at 11:55am from San Francisco is to early? We are on the Golden returning to San Francisco on a Monday in August and would love to take the 11:55am as next flight is at 2pm. We also are thinking of booking Princess transfers to the airport. We have never booked a transfers we have always taken a private transfer. Would love to know what you think.

We disembarked at SF this past March. Early walk off started around 7:30. The earliest non walk off time was around 8:30. It took about 45 mins to get through immigration. The process is fairly well organized.

If you take the Princess transfer you will have to wait until the entire bus is filled before it departs for the airport. It also takes time at the airport to off load all those 50 people and get their luggage, plus the bus makes stops at various terminals.

The ride is about 45 mins w/o traffic delays. A taxi is around $50/$60. A group shuttle such as super shuttle is also an option. Book in advance.

Conclusion, if you take the early walk off you should be able to make it with out issue if you use a taxi.

Can you tell me what the Taxi situation is at the San Francisco terminal? When we came into Seattle last year it was a huge taxi line. Can you also tell me if we hire a private car transfer where do they wait in San Francisco. Thank you.

Download Uber. If you're a first time user - look up codes for the first free trip. The wharf to SFO is NOT 45 mins away unless the traffic is bad.

 

If you get off the ship by 8:30 - 9a then you should be fine making an 11:45 flight.

meh56, don't take the Princess transfers. Your flight time is 20 minutes too early for you to book them. Take one of the taxi/Uber/private shuttle options and you should be fine.

I agree, do the self walk off in the earliest group and get a taxi.

I would not trust UBER if you are pressed for time. ;) Get a taxi.

Uber in the city is way better and more trust worthy than a taxi. But to each their own.
