Bostwick girl Posted May 7, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 7, 2015 I'm getting ready to book the Carnival Bermuda Cruise from Port Canaveral in May 2016. Hubby wants to know which side of the ship will be against the dock and no one seems to know. Would make a difference as to which side of the ship I book my balcony room. Any comments would be appreciated.
iheartbda Posted May 7, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 7, 2015 (edited) There is no definite way they dock. It varies according to maintenance they may be doing or crew safety drills. Edited May 7, 2015 by iheartbda
njhorseman Posted May 7, 2015 #3 Share Posted May 7, 2015 If you look at the Port Bermuda Webcam http://portbermudawebcam.com/ you'll see at this moment the Norwegian Breakaway is docked on starboard side and the Celebrity Summit on the port side...proof positive that they can and do dock on either side. I've actually seen a ship or two change it's docking orientation during its stay...docked on the port side for part of the stay and docked on the starboard side for part of the stay. Rare theminnow Posted May 7, 2015 #5 Share Posted May 7, 2015 If you are simply looking for a view from the balcony, either side of the ship will have a nice view. When we were in Bermuda, the Grandeur was port side to the dock. We were starboard side, but the view across the water to the other side of Bermuda was very impressive. Hope this helps. Enjoy your time in Bermuda. Craig
