royalgirl21 Posted May 12, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 12, 2015 (edited) This was our 3rd time on Oasis of the Seas and our 11th cruise with Royal Caribbean. We are loyal to royal never been in any other cruise line. This cruise was comp. by the Casino royale, my husband is a big roulette player even though this cruise was towards a blackjack tournament which he plays also. Changes on the boat: The new Michael Kors open on this sailing. Kate Spade is open no more Cupcake store. NO more donut shop which I loved Hot dogs now. No more pets at sea in the Boardwalk they added a small arcade which is nice for the kids. Sabor instead of Seafood Shack, abosoluety awesome, the food is great and the prices are reasonable I do not know why people complain about it, it was my favortie place to eat other than Chops. Themed nights for Winjamer ex. seafood, bbq, spanish, asian nights awesome. We ate at Chops and the Solorium. Chops like always was excellent Solarium not so much it was free so i'll take it but would not pay it rather pay for Sabor. We only went to the dinning room once which is unsual for us but it work this time. We went for the first formal night they had the Shrimp Ravioli which is to die for. Entertainment: My favorite part of the cruise.. The Pac/Mayweather fight was on and its was amazing watching it under the starts. They were selling from pop-corn, cotton candy, guacomole with chips, tacos and had the hot dog place open, There was even a waiter walking around with menus to Johny Rockets, and of course the liquor. ( I bought the drink but my husband had drinks in the casino for free so did I but still got it for me I like to drink different drinks around the ship.) The Oasis of the Dreams great must watch. CATS I did not want to see this show is 3hours I do not want to sit for 3hours. The comedy show was the best show ever like always, I did miss Simon tho.. The ice show great, The love and marrige game show was hillarius..the Quest you cannot miss this show 11 cruise and is always fun. ( our group one yessssss) All the shows are always good. The Blaze nightclub, Boleros and Solorium parties are so much fun. I love to dance so those my husband so we dance to the wee of the hours, we met some great people and the entire cruise we partied all night every night even the bartenders partied with us it was awesome. The karokee was great mu husband hated karokee until he saw it in the cruise a must see, there were some great singers on this ship. Me and my husband hang out mostly in the casino during the day unless there was a show or bingo we wanted to see. The casino staff are so friendly and happy. We also met some great people at the casino and found some staff people that we met on previous cruises. One negative I had in my 11 cruise this has never happened I never saw my room attendent the whole trip I don't think he deserve all the gratuties they charge per day, but its ok he still pick up. Everything else was perfect. ( I did not get off the boat I have seen the island to many times nothing to see, I stood by the pool with my cherry sangria glass). If you have any questions please ask away i'll answer if I could remember lol Some nights were really really funnnnn. SAD FACE IS BECUZ I HAD TO LEAVE THE BOAT>>> Edited May 12, 2015 by royalgirl21

Clarea Posted May 12, 2015 #6 Share Posted May 12, 2015 No more pets at sea in the boardwalk, what does that mean? what pets? Not real pets, just a place for kids to make stuffed animals.
ryano Posted May 12, 2015 #7 Share Posted May 12, 2015 No more pets at sea in the boardwalk, what does that mean? what pets? Pets at Sea was Royal Caribbean version of "Build a Bear" Think dressing up stuffed animals.

I don't get this at all. As long as the room is cleaned, fresh towels left and ice supplied, why would it matter if you never saw the room steward? Actually, I prefer it that way. Was your room not serviced properly? If so, why wouldn't the room steward "deserve" the gratuities charged?
Rare Smitty815 Posted May 12, 2015 #9 Share Posted May 12, 2015 Thanks for the review. We're trying to decide between Oasis and Allure for next year. I have been on both. They are really the exact same. If I had to choose right now I would just choose Allure simply because Chicago was good and CATS is horrible (in my opinion). The DIL is in charge so it she's weighing the options. I cruise on almost anything. [emoji6]

Not that the tips weren't earned but I certainly wouldn't tip extra without seeing a face. I also think part of job is to check with me to see if I have any other needs at least once. The fact that he didn't even introduce himself to us or check on us to see if we needed anything is not good...not sayig he din't kept the room clean once a day only in the afternoon and by the end of the cruise we dint even get our luggage or custom forms in the room but yes the extra tip envolope it is not good..like I said this has never ever happen to me before but is not a big deal I don't go because of the room attendant.
