newcruiser1956 Posted March 27, 2018 #76 Share Posted March 27, 2018 I liked them, They have a very good veggie burger. It is not on the menu, you just have to ask for it and they will cook it up for you. I survived on them on the Sensation.
CJDepew Posted March 27, 2018 #77 Share Posted March 27, 2018 Looking forward to another cruise with Guy's Burgers in 2019. We cruised NCL the last two years and their burgers are kind of gross.
Doggielover68 Posted March 27, 2018 #78 Share Posted March 27, 2018 They are good, but not necessarily the best burger in the world. I would compare it to Five Guys. Thin, greasy, fast food burger, a step above regular fast food, lots of toppings to choose from, and fresh cut fries. Qchell Posted March 27, 2018 #79 Share Posted March 27, 2018 My husband and I tried them for the first time last cruise. We each ordered a different burger, cut them in half to share, and fixed to our preference. We enjoyed them. With so many options we won't go every day (I like the Blue Iguana's tacos) but it was something we definitely enjoyed.
elcuchio24 Posted March 27, 2018 #80 Share Posted March 27, 2018 Nothing to plan your vacation around, but I think they are good. At least much better than what you get off the grill in the buffet. Tasty, a little different, fun atmosphere.
coevan Posted March 27, 2018 #81 Share Posted March 27, 2018 Hence why I used the word "usually" The three ships I sailed with Guy's on it was 12-6. The last time I sailed a ship that had Guy's burgers was in December so the times may have changed that they keep it open. I am on the Conquest right now, Guy's is not open after 6. In my opinion they are not very good. The first thing you learn about cooking burgers, NEVER squeeze the juice of a burger. I guess for fast food they are better then McDonalds. If the OP is cruising for a burger, seriously ????
pacruise804 Posted March 29, 2018 #82 Share Posted March 29, 2018 How was the Pride overall? pros and cons? Not the poster you asked, but we were on the Pride a month ago. It can be very subjective based on why you sail and what you are looking for, however we really enjoyed it - so much that we booked another cruise for the fall. Pros: -Blue Iguana (some breakfast, lots of lunches) & Guys (mostly for the fries and toppings) -Red Frog Pub (entertainment) -mostly eager customer service -relaxing -good sea views/promenade -handled rough seas well -nice variety of options for meals and entertainment -limited shopping (not as in your face as some ships) -Park West art behind doors vs taking up the hallways - we never received fliers pressuring us to come to their events either Cons: -slow - not relaxed, just slow - MDR -atrium bar service very slow (but lots of other good bars to choose from) -MDR food disappointing and overly salty or too much dressing -balcony door would whistle if not shut exactly right -confusing disembarkation (we were delayed though so that probably played a part) -Alchemy bar was disappointing
salty dingo Posted March 29, 2018 #83 Share Posted March 29, 2018 Some have posted here that the veggie burger is very good. I'd like to try it and find out for myself. A good veggie burger is a nice change of pace from beef when a lighter meal is needed.
