Breakaway Vibe Question

Can we get the Vibe passes before our cruise or once we get on board?

Sorry but no, we arrive around 9am, and make a B-Line to guest services. Our cruise on the BA was September 2013 and their were a lot of disappointed in back of me.

You would be better served paying for Vibe and dealing with the small amount of people that *might* be smoking, rather than hanging out by the pools...that is where most of the smoking we saw onboard was happening.

I was COMPLETELY bummed out reading these boards before we went, because people made it sound like you will get choked out with the smoke from the casino, etc....doom and gloom... I was preparing for the worst. Halfway through the cruise, it occurred to me that I never noticed the "terrible" smoke smell from the casino, or anywhere else for that matter. I can say that we weren't bothered by it one bit on our cruise on May 10th.

As for smoking in Vibe, it's so windy up there that I doubt any smells in the air stick around for long....lol

something i didn't realize about these boards until after my cruise is that most people are senior citizens, and quite honestly folks, will complain about anything. Yes there is some smoke in the casino, the food, staff, and everything was great on the breakaway. Going into it, I almost thought the cruise was going to suck by what I was reading here, but it was one of the best cruises i've ever been on. Take it with a grain of salt people!

Are you flying to the port? Can you get to the port early...around 9:00ish.

We live in Florida. Will drive and stay overnight; and I guess no late night activities so we can get there early. They don't enforce boarding times, do they? I've never cruised this line, but all others I've cruised let us on earlier.

We got to the port around 9:00. Checked our luggage and had a seat in the waiting area. Once we went through security they gave us a boarding number and told us where to sit. Around 11:15 they said we would board shortly. We finally boarded about noon and went right to guest services. There was a crew member asking people what they were there for and he was passing our numbers for Vibe. Then we waited in line and got our wrist bands and they charged our onboard account.

  • 2 weeks later...
In addition to lots of umbrellas, there are times when the chairs/loungers over by the cabanas have plenty of shade.

We will be on the Breakaway in August- new to NCL. We have a Haven suite. Is it necessary to book the Vibe? We have a credit and was just curious if it is something we might want or is the Haven area adequate? Any other tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

At least the OP's question was answered before his/her thread got turned into a debate. Smh

They've probably unfollowed their own thread by now.

Might as well throw in how the sun will kill many of us off, so we better just stay indoors throughout the cruise. Oh, and food, better not indulge in all the good eating on the cruise b/c that can also lead to our early deaths.

I wanna live while I'm living. Can't enjoy life once I'm gone. Gonna stay happy and fulfilled, and respect that we all have demons/flaws.

Good luck to us all in getting those Vibe passes & happy cruising!!!!

I knew this would happen. As an FYI I was on the BA 2 weeks ago and smoking is permitted in vibe and Spice H2O with tables and chairs near the bar. So found out first hand.

Why people feel the need to preach is beyond me.
