cruisexlife Posted May 22, 2015 #26 Share Posted May 22, 2015 (edited) $1,045 for the room after taxes and everything for a 4J on Freedom for six days during Easter week :D Two people inside, so it was $522.50 per person. Still one of my favorite cruises to date! Early Saver too, I think the price originally was $1,055 so it only dropped $10. But it was a great deal. I usually take weeks to plan out a cruise and get stuff together before I book it, but I saw it at 1AM, put the room on hold (Deck 7 too, we really lucked out) took off work in the morning, and booked it before leaving. ;) Edited May 22, 2015 by cruisexlife
Jasalth Posted May 22, 2015 #27 Share Posted May 22, 2015 My best ever I know I won't see again since it was before the room category changes made in 2010/2011. 7 day on the Legend in a 9B. With 4 people it came out to a little under $68 a day or $1900 for the room. About 4 months after we booked, they changed the pricing structure of the 9A/B's. The last 9B (for 2 people) went for almost double our price for 4! I know it will never happen again but a girl can hope!
dogbert's mom Posted May 22, 2015 #28 Share Posted May 22, 2015 We had a 16 day Panama Canal cruise on the Imagination for $999. Upper deck PT. Great cruise and would jump a chance to sail through the canal $63/day again.
DKane Posted May 22, 2015 #29 Share Posted May 22, 2015 The best I was ever offered besides a free one was $50 pp on Verandah deck with $100 onboard credit (making it free) and $310 pp on Panarama deck with $100 onboard credit. There were other casino offers with $400 cash and low rates. We cruised four times with Carnival in a 13-month span and won money in the casino during one of those trips and since then I have been getting the offers partly because of our being frequent cruisers and hitting a jackpot! erby2283 Posted May 22, 2015 #30 Share Posted May 22, 2015 (edited) The cruise I just booked last week. A special offer was under my bf's VIFP - 10 day Journey cruise - From San Juan (St. Thomas, Antigua, Dominica, Martinique, St. Croix, Grand Turk) to Port Canaveral for this December - an 8B balcony including taxes and fees for two $1587 (not including a $100 OBC). I think that comes out to $79 p/p per day ($74 if you include the OBC). Edited May 22, 2015 by erby2283
LostPuppy Posted May 22, 2015 #31 Share Posted May 22, 2015 $295 for seven days in a Cat 11 OS for TWO people the week after 9/11. We were aboard the prior week and got this offer slipped under the door. Apparently many, many people had cancelled because of the uncertainty of what was going on and lack of flights. We called the airline and was able to postpone our flight home for no cost and had a great time that second week for next-to-nothing.
K.T.B. Posted May 22, 2015 #32 Share Posted May 22, 2015 Not the cheapest cruise I've been on, but definitely the one with the best deal was my first Alaskan cruise. I forget the price, but I'll always remember that in the end that we spent about $300 less per person vs. any other rate I could find.
satbeachbill Posted May 22, 2015 #33 Share Posted May 22, 2015 Our best deal was $67 pp for a 4 day, inside, right after 9/11 out of Miami
pohlerbear Posted May 22, 2015 #34 Share Posted May 22, 2015 After the Triumph and other bad incidents around that time, I started consistently price checking. I found a cruise on the Glory out of Boston to Portland, ME and three ports in Canada. We got an OV for four people and it was under $1,300 for a 7 day cruise. karinad Posted May 22, 2015 Author #35 Share Posted May 22, 2015 You guys got some great deals in the past and present! It's hard to accept a "normal" price on a cruise once you've had a great one! In 2013 (I think) the last yr. that CCL was in Europe, we got a 12 night out of Dover, England r/t for about $2400/2 in a balcony. Best cruise we ever went on or close! I had free air, too and 3 free nights at the Hilton in London. People that don't cruise can't believe it and accuse us of having money! They spend thousands at the Jersey Shore for a week or less. Some people are just hard to convince to look at cruising.;)

jerseyjjs Posted May 22, 2015 #39 Share Posted May 22, 2015 $22 p/p for a one-nighter on Norwegian Gem. $93 for the Conquest 8-nighter coming up through the casino player club promotion.
karinad Posted May 23, 2015 Author #40 Share Posted May 23, 2015 When or how far out, do you get your great prices? The one that I just booked on the Dream a few weeks ago is in Oct. I'd be surprised if it could get much cheaper, but I'm watching!
ScottsSweetie Posted May 23, 2015 #41 Share Posted May 23, 2015 I don't remember the price, but it was a swine flu special when Carnival changed the routes and everyone started cancelling their rooms. There were some great prices going on!
Native Floridian 26 Posted May 23, 2015 #42 Share Posted May 23, 2015 Last May we had a 5 day Paradise Interior (may been 1A) for $159 and a 7 day Splendor Interior last December (or 1A) for $249 before taxes. After we booked, the price on the 7 day even went down to $199. This year's prices seem to be much higher.

Ms. Fun Bunch Posted May 23, 2015 #45 Share Posted May 23, 2015 Is this out of Baltimore? I keep watching the rates for Baltimore and NY since we are about 3 hrs. from either. That is a great price! Good for you! Have a wonderful time! Yes it is out of Baltimore. Thanks! In fact I turned it into a B2B with a free cruise from Carnival Casino the second week was only $127.00 per person. Mikew0805 Posted May 23, 2015 #47 Share Posted May 23, 2015 On Carnival, the best deal I have received was on the Conquest September 2008, right after Ike. Now the price had nothing to do with the hurricane as I booked 18 months out. We booked, what was then 1A cabins (Now I think 6B) that were technically supposed to have upper/lower births, inside. The cabins we got was 2465 for us and 2462 for my Mother and her friend at the aft. They both had two bed that converted, plus TWO picture windows and TONS of space. We paid 269 per person including taxes and fees. I think the cruise rate was 159.
LSUcajunmom Posted May 23, 2015 #48 Share Posted May 23, 2015 (edited) April cruise on Triumph, $50 pp w $100 OBC, ended up paying $129 for the taxes, so pretty much a free cruise. 2nd cheapest, the Elation. We leave next Saturday. Paid $75 pp w $100 OBC. Taxes are $155. So paid $205 for this one. 2 cruises in 2 months w 4 paid tickets cost me $334 total. travel_gal123 Posted May 23, 2015 #49 Share Posted May 23, 2015 The absolute best offer I have ever gotten was a 5 nt cruise for $50 a person with a $50 on board credit per person. It was a casino offer. We only played roulette and didn't spend much money at all. I have been told it is not how much you win or lose, it is how much you play. We were in there each night.
