My PVP says there will be a sale next week. Anyone wanna take a guess at what it might be??? I'm looking to book the May 8th, 2016 sailing on the Breeze. It's $450 pp for a cove balcony for my family of four in early saver. Should I book now or wait to see what the sale is?

Would book now as ES.

The only thing stopping me is the deposit! It's a hefty one. Is there ever an opportunity to book ES with a reduced deposit or is it generally one or the other?

Our last cruise on the Breeze we booked wth ES and they were running a promotion that week for half off deposit. I don't know how often that actually happens though.

We booked ES a couple weeks ago on a $99 deposit sale. It's our way of hedging our bets. We are trying to start a family, but if we are unlucky, we have a cruise to look forward to! If we are lucky, we cancel and lose $99. That's $ I'd be happy to lose :)

Just remember that if you book ES with a reduced deposit and then submit a price drop request prior to final payment, the rest of the deposit will then be due immediately. Happened to me once...

I booked half off deposit and when I applied for a price drop they didn't ask for the rest of the deposit. Maybe I just got lucky...

If the issue you are having is the amount of the deposit I would wait a few days. Worst case scenario is that you'll have to put the amount of the deposit you expected, best case scenario is there's a smaller deposit due. Your sailing date is almost a year out and it's unlikely all the cove balconies will be booked that quickly. In either event you'll still be able to book Early Saver and be eligible for price drops later.

Good luck and I hope it works out for you.

Are you sailing out if Galveston? I was reading through the boards and several people were upset because after they booked the Breeze out of Miami they were notified, days and weeks later, that she is moving to Galveston after the May 1 sailing and replaced with the Splendor.

Also, we got a price drop on our Nov. Breeze sailing that was booked on the $99 deposit promo and we're not asked to pay the remainder.

Hopefully it will include the 'final payment not due until 30 days before sailing'... haven't seen that particular sale in a while...

20 years of cruising have never seen that.

They had it last year sometime but we were already booked. Our friends were able to take advantage of it though...

You must have gotten lucky because when I did it I was told that I had to pay the full deposit for my cruise, 2 of them, or else they would be cancelled.

Thanks for the information. I am looking to book a cruise for next summer and I have been waiting for reduced deposits too. Even 50% would be nice. I would BOOK today if they offered it today.

Hint to the casino..........another offer would be nice, too. Dear Husband always spends a good deal of time with your staff.
