St Thomas sailing trip

We've been to St Thomas many many times, both land trip and cruises. We found a company that does sailing trips (where they actually sail) out of Red Hook but they aren't interested in working with cruise ship passengers. Is anyone aware of a company that does cruise ship excursions and actually sails instead of just putting up a sail and running the engine?

Wayfairers: Most sailboats have a schedule to keep. If there isn't enough wind, they have to augment with the iron jenny. If you can get a group together that just wants to sail, and doesn't care about where you go, you might be able to convince the captain to do your bidding.

New Horizons out of Sapphire Marina is a large sloop that sails to Caneel Bay then to Great St James and moors at both spots for snorkeling and lunch. Excellent day (love the painkillers and nooners) and the lunch is fabulous.

You are sailing and tacking all the way so hold on to something! No engine except when leaving and departing Sapphire Marina. As mentioned if thee is no wind there is no sail, but that is a rarity in this area.

They cater to cruisers, I believe the typical time out is 10 - 4 if that works for you? They offer a discount if booking on line.
