zuggie Posted June 26, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 26, 2015 We just booked several cruises priced with this new 30 For 30 sale, and noted that only 70% of our usual C&A Balcony discount was applied. Apparently they gave us 30% off the cruise fare, but also took away 30% of our C&A discount. Does this sound right?

So they apply the balcony discount first, then take off 30%. So it's 30% off of a smaller number that way.
wendyendykey Posted June 26, 2015 #3 Share Posted June 26, 2015 Yes, it's right - I booked our next cruise whilst on Anthem with this offer and the C&A discount is deducted before they calculate the 30% additional discount. Still a great price, we saved upwards of £500 so I'm very happy!

Apparently they gave us 30% off the cruise fare, but also took away 30% of our C&A discount. Does this sound right? As Bob said they apply any discounts first. Then the 30% off. Took me a bit of time to figure it out too, but then I accepted that it's 30% off what you pay for the cruise, not "brochure" price. Figured it was fair. I'd rather get the discount then apply the 30% than not being able to use the C & A discount at all like with some discounted rates.
Ourusualbeach Posted June 26, 2015 #5 Share Posted June 26, 2015 And they have also updated the C&A benefits page footnotes to confirm that they are applying the discounts in this order.
Rare cruisinghawg Posted June 26, 2015 #6 Share Posted June 26, 2015 This was a great sale for us. We got the 2nd sailing from FLL on the Harmony for $2400 total, that is a superior OV balcony. We paid $3400 on the Allure last year. The savings allowed us to book another at Thanksgiving. So for just $700 more we are sailing twice.
