and I just tried to use it (from my email) and nothing.

I called and gave them the code on the letter.

After a LONG time, she came back and told me she checked with her supervisor and the fine print shows that Princess can change or discontinue it at any time..so they did! At least for me.

I'm ticked

WOW that does stink! They give you a timeframe to find a book a cruise then rip the rug from under you! Sorry.

I was told they extended the offer to more people, thus resulting in my booking. My offer did not include any OBC from the casino offer, but did include some from RED, WHITE AND BLUE SALE. Still very happy though. I was able to cruise 7 days for the price of 4 or 5 nights. I've been bitten again by the LOVE BOAT.

We just booked a late November voyage as part of the RED, WHITE and BLUE sale and the casino credit wasn't included either. We booked this directly through Princess and the agent there said it should be included but because it was a Sunday they would send this along to the "special" office that handles these issues and we should hear something today.......if not, call them tomorrow.

I'll let you know if it does go through because that's a big reduction. Add this to the FCC, Shareholder Benefit, military, etc, and it's more expensive to stay home.

I posted about this on a thread I started on this topic over a month ago. I never did get anything in writing but started noticing that the cost of every cruise that I had saved in my CP went down when I actually clicked on a cabin.

I called Princess and got the scoop, including that it is capacity controlled casino deal. What this means is that they have designated a number of cabins on every sailing that can get the offer. Once those sell out, the offer no longer applies to that particular cruise.

I do see still see the savings on some of the 2016 cruises I have saved, but it has disappeared from most. I was thankful to be able to rebook my fall cruise on the Royal to take advantage of this offer and saved quite a bit, including free gratuities. But the offer is no longer there for that cruise - very glad I acted quickly!

By the way, someone posted the attached chart which shows the offers by category.

Savings up to 33% on bookings made before jan 2016 I was told, cannot be booked by a TA

We booked through TA and got the casino rate. Had received flyer via mail and it had a casino code on it.

Just an update.....we finally got the Casino Credit by contacting our Princess Travel Consultant and she took care of it. The problem was that I booked the cruise with my CC# and the Casino Credit was under my wife's number. Regardless we rebooked it under her number and the 25% reduction was made making this voyage "almost free" when adding in the Shareholder Benefit, FCC, etc.

Excellent. Apparently, both of us have the benefit. The Princess rep told me it's associated with the CC number and that it's the casino club that does it not Princess. (I don't get it, either.) DH is the gambler, but I guess I've joined him enough times to qualify.

What was the offer code (usually a combination of 3 letters and numbers with Princess)?

The deal is from someone else, not Princess. There is no "offer code." The Princess rep told me the company that controls the casino (?) does the discount. She gave me my number (which is not a Princess offer code number) and told me it was associated with my Captain's Circle account. No, I will not tell you the number. You will have to ask Colo Cruiser. :p;)

Thanks for the info. I didn't know you two were so close you share CC numbers. ;)

I was told the same by a Princess phone rep. The discount cannot be shared, except for those sailing in the same cabin as the recipient of the offer. They want to choose who gets the special rates, apparently.

I called tonight to see if I could get the casino rate to move from obstructed view to deluxe obstructed view on the Regal in Nov. Right now the Deluxe Obstructed View is cheaper than the Obstructed View (strange). He told me that my casino rate expired on 8/3. I asked since I already booked couldn't that be used anyway. I have to call back tomorrow when Customer Relations is open.

His answer didn't really sound right as I had previously been told it was good through January something 2016. I'll keep asking, and keep asking. If it doesn't work then maybe I'll contact the players club and see if they can get it for me. Doesn't hurt to keep asking.. ;)

Which Regal sailing date? Nov 8th? I did not know when we booked this that this trip is the finals for the 50th anniversary slot tournament Princess has been running since last December. The top two finishers from each tournament run during North American sailings get automatic placement in the finals. But they don't get a free cruise.

Around 100 days out from sail date, the Deluxe Balcony inventory changed from being SOLD OUT for some time to over 200 available cabins. My suspicion is they were holding these for the slots tournament and not that many qualifiers can sail again. So, I am thinking a huge block got released. There are still over 200 Deluxe for sale - and a goodly number of those are Obstructed. In contrast the Regular Balcony's are mostly sold out.

Princess is going to have to offer some deals on those Deluxes to fill them and I have been expecting some significant price drops after final payment, but I haven't noticed anything yet online and we are into the 60's now.

Yes it is on the Nov. 8th sailing. Well hopefully that will make Princess more receptive to my request! I'll be happy to play in the tournament in someone's place!!!

We're sitting on a DW GTY and with all the apparent inventory, I'm not holding out much hope. Back when we booked, Deluxe showed all sold out, and were only selling GTY's, so I had high hopes.

Our friends were booked BW GTY and they got assignment just before the 100-day mark and are now in a BC on Marina (below another cabin) and are quite pleased.

Good luck.

Called Princess and got moved from E428 to E410 and getting a small refund.

I have to say it's important to know your stuff - which I did because of CC and this thread! First they were moving me and re faring but not at the %25 off balcony. I would have had to pay about $140 (which would not be bad) but I questioned it and she came back and said you are right they were using the wrong promotion.

I am really happy. It's not a big difference in cabin but the love seat will allow my mom to sit and watch TV if she likes and not have to do it from the bed! And the balcony looks bigger and less angled, so probably more useable space!

Did I mention that I LOVE Princess!

I didn't know anything about casino pricing and I booked a cruise for November this year. My TA comes back to me with the price and I was surprised at the price she came back to me with. It was lower than what I was seeing online and she said it was the casino rate. :-) Last cruise I was on, I spent the last night at the BlackJack table winning . . . and betting . . . and winning and betting :)

We really never gamble but... I told my wife about people getting casino rates and we have decided to do a bit of gambling on our next couple of cruises. Of course we both realize that doesn't mean we will ever be offered a casino rate on a cruise but it's worth a shot. It's not like we will lose a huge amount of money in the casino as we won't risk a huge amount but I don't suppose there is any chance of getting a casino rate promo at a later date if we don't ever use the casino at all.

Drop $20 in a slot machine and get your card registered. That's all it takes, I think. DH is the family gambler, not me, but I do visit a slot or two over the course of the voyage. We both have the casino rate.

If one in the cabin gets the casino rate will it apply for the other person too,if they do not qualify for the rate.It is hard to believe, only putting $20 on your card for the slots that you will get a casino rate.It is worth a try.

Don't forget that the casino rate ends in December... unfortunately!

Mine goes to December 2016. I don't think the amount of money one gambles is as important as using the cruise card in a machine so the details of the person get recorded somewhere. It's not Princess doing this but the casino management that works for several lines.

Nice! I assume then that mine does too! I can't book anything at the moment but I could do massive damage by the end of the year!
