Walking Dead Cruise NCL Pearl

It looks as though it is true and here is some more information. As much as I love the Walking Dead show, this would creep me out too much.

Our friends The Walker Stalkers are taking their hugely popular Walker Stalker Con to the high seas with The Walker Stalker Cruise! They’ve teamed up with Sixthman (no strangers to putting on festivals at sea) to create the ultimate Walking Dead fan experience. You can expect the Walker Stalkers to pull in the usual awesome lineup of Walking Dead talent and creative minds to come along on this 3-day Caribbean cruise aboard the Norwegian Pearl. Signings, panels, photo ops, gaming, costume contests, and more! This all goes down January 15-18 so you can trade your snow shoes for flip flops (or if you’re from Southern California like us, you can trade your flip-flops for even more relaxed flip-flops).

Currently scheduled to attend: Norman Reedus, Chandler Riggs, Emily Kinney, Sonequa Martin-Green, Chad L Coleman, Christian Serratos, Lawrence Gilliard, Jr., and Ross Marquand! The roster will be growing with time, and if we know the team at The Walker Stalkers it will end up being very, very impressive!

The pre-sale has started! The first 1,000 guests book a cabin will get a limited-edition lithograph signed by Norman Reedus!

The Pearl is often chartered out for Music cruises that are booked through a separate agency. In fact, over the years, many people on this board have had their regular cruise bookings on the Pearl cancelled, because NCL had chartered the ship after it was opened for regular bookings.: I'm sure someone on this board will be able to give you the info for the agency handling the music cruise bookings.;)(

Apparently NCL is doing a "Walking Dead" cruise on the Pearl in January 2016. Source was Facebook so not sure if it's legit

It's true as I read about it here:

Here's the official website for more information:

DW really wants to do this cruise but it's pricey- inside cabin on deck 4 is $750 a person plus $225 per person for government taxes and fees for a 3 day cruise. (And it's sailing at the time our Breakaway CTN was supposed to, also, so it fits in our schedule and I can use the refund to pay the deposit for this one.)

This should not be a surprise to folks....Sixthman has been very aggressive in pursuing these types of theme cruises that mirror land base fan conventions....it will sell out very quickly

The formula...take a wildly popular cable tv show (based upon a popular book or series) that has a large Facebook & Twitter following ..make sure it has a large ensemble cast and a fan club convention....perfect long weekend cruising formula...in this case the lagniappe is the special effects (make up)

Given a choice between holding a Fan Convention in Las Vegas or a weekend charter cruise

We will be going on this cruise. You must pre register by july 6th on the website to be eligible for the pre sale . you are given a booking time based on when you preregistered. after all the pre registered people go then they will open it to the general public.

So if you are interested preregister quick, looks like its going to be an awesome time

The Moody Blues cruise has chartered the Pearl from Feb 26 thru March 1 2016. They chartered the MSC Divinia the past two years but it must not be available. We'd go because we love seeing the Moodies but the Flower Power cruise on Celebrity is the same time and we already signed up for that.

Expensive but worth every penny mingling with our favorite 60's performers for a few day. Good entertainers don't come cheap.

Heck...just sail with Holland America, where every cruise is a WALKING DEAD cruise

That's not funny, if that's what you were aiming at. We love Holland America because there aren't a bunch of drunk party people and masses of screaming kids running all over the place.

Sorry for not connecting with your sense of humor. We enjoy those things as well. Ironically, HAL is the only cruise line where we saw people passed out on deck chairs the morning after a deck party...at least we hope they were passed out.
