We just booked Westerdam cruise and TA said we have received onboard credit and Dine Around Package with booking during their Anniversary Sale.

HAL's web site says Dine Around Package is a $70 value. Do we receive notice of this or a voucher in our cabin upon embarkation?

You will have a card in your cabin with your dining times at Pinnacle and Canaletto. Many have said they they were unable to change times that had been assigned. I know that on the last Explore 4 cruise we were on the PG had 900 dinners with Explore 4 to fulfill. I was told that promo dinners were assigned after advance paid bookings were processed.

Many have reported no problems in changing the times. Check with the PG and Canaletto as soon as you board the ship.

 

We had no problem making changes last month on the Noordam in Alaska. We even moved one Canaletto dinner to our second week that did not have the Explore4.

Lunch in the Pinnacle Grill is only $10 and usually wonderful (at least, IMO and experience). I would recommend you keep your voucher for dinner which is more costly and splurge on a PG lunch on a sea day if you can. Beats the Lido any day ;)

What is the charge for PG for dinner? We are four star but perhaps that won't make a difference in pricing when we have the voucher which would be fine.

PG dinner is $29 (1/2 price for 4*) pp and lunch is $10 pp (1/2 price again for 4*)

Dinner is $29 per person- as 4 star should be 50% discount that will be applied onboard.

We were told that changing the promo dinner times depended on how many pre-paid bookings had been made in advance. I know people on our last sailing were complaining about very early or very late seating and inability to change.

They don't have a seperate room like the NA or Eurodam. When movies are shown, it is either in the Queen's Lounge or the Showroom.

As long as your TA has linked your cruise reservations together you should be just fine. The 1st time we used Explore4 we were part of 4 staterooms (all linked together by TA) and we were assigned the same date/time and they had a table for all 8 of us.

Culinary Arts Center showed movies at 5:00 PM each evening in Alaska last month. It was not good for early diners and the chairs were not as comfortable as the dedicate Screening Room on the Westerdam.
